A Perfect Mind Refreshing & Soothing Romcom with Charming ML & FL?
• A Refreshing and Healing Romance
I don't even know where to start, but I have to share how I felt about this drama.
• He Suye (Zhang Linge)
The male lead, He Suye, is one of the greenest flags I've seen in a drama in a long time! He looked absolutely gorgeous in his doctor's white coat. I loved how he fell for her at first sight but didn't push things. He gave her space and advice and never tried to control her career decisions, (which is something a lot of male leads doesn't do in other dramas). He won her heart slowly and never made her feel pressured, even after she rejected him. This showed the maturity of his character. He was always honest about his feelings and had everything most of us girls want in a partner.
• Shen Xifan (Xu Ruohan)
Shen Xifan is a beautiful, talented, and independent woman with a simple elegance. What I liked most about her is that she never sacrificed her dreams for her boyfriend or family. She was confident in her career and seized opportunities, which is a welcome change from many dramas where the female lead gives up on her dreams because of her parents.
• Their Relationship
The development of their relationship was one of the most enjoyable parts of the show. Suye was not just a boyfriend; he was also a good friend to Xifan. He helped boost her confidence when she was hesitant about going abroad and gave her time when she first rejected him—a true green flag! I loved all the kiss scenes and how she actively participated instead of just standing there like a statue. They complemented each other so well. They understood one another, worked through their issues, and had a very healthy relationship!
• About this drama : This drama is a perfect rom-com with no toxic characters, unnecessary breakups, or other typical drama tropes.
• Scenery and Themes
The locations and scenery were some of the most beautiful and soothing I've ever seen. I especially loved the hotels area and the scenic routes to Xifan, Xiangya, and Senior Lin's hotel. I took so many screenshots of those locations!
I also did some research on Chinese medicine after watching the show, and I found it fascinating. I loved how the drama included the benefits of various Chinese medicine elements at the beginning of each episode. It was also great that they gave proper screen time and respect to both leads' professions. We saw Shen Xifan as a responsible hotel manager and He Suye as a wonderful doctor.
• Conclusion : I honestly can't think of anything I didn't like about this drama. I enjoyed every single episode. As a rom-com fan, this is definitely one of my favorite "mind-healing" dramas.
