Has anyone read the novel version? Is the story exactly like the drama? I really love the characters, especially Su Mu Yu and Su Chang He. I was expecting that somehow in the end, they would fight each other, or Su Change He would be a villain. I am so glad Chang He didn't become the villain.

Yes, you can watch it from here first. This is Wuxie's Note, a remake of the first series.
Thank you!

Would I still be able to understand this drama even if I haven't watched the other dramas or movies connected to its universe?

oh Thanks, I was about to search for the novel because the plot looks interesting based on the trailer.

I agree with you in part, since if you are an actor, presenter, or writer, you are subject to criticism. You must…
Correct me if I misunderstood, but from what you said, it sounds like you’re implying that if actors can’t handle criticism, they shouldn’t be actors.

Just to clarify, I’m not speaking on behalf of Boun and Prem, nor am I suggesting that they can’t take criticism. I also recognize that professional criticism exists and can be constructive, believe me, I KNOW what it is and why it matters.

But my point in my initial comment was to remind people to go easy, be a little nicer; it shouldn't really cost anything. Even if the artists themselves don’t read everything, their fans do, and harsh words about idols can hurt those who care about them. It’s like when someone speaks badly about your friend, you don’t just let it slide. Personally, I’d try to comfort them or at least lessen the impact. At least something to lessen the pain.

And here’s where I disagree with the thinking you presented: just because someone is expected to receive criticism doesn’t mean people should freely give it, especially when it’s harsh or unnecessary and not a professional one. Being a public figure doesn’t erase the right to respect or compassion. By that logic, it’s like saying: “If teachers can’t handle disrespect from students, they shouldn’t teach” or “If doctors can’t handle rudeness from patients, they shouldn’t practice.” It doesn’t work that way, respect should go both ways, no matter the profession.

Just because someone is expected to receive criticism doesn’t mean you have to give it. Waiters know not every customer will be easy to please, but that doesn’t mean diners should snap at them or talk down to them. Courtesy should still be the baseline.

It’s the same way you wouldn’t kick someone when they’re already down, just because you can doesn’t mean you should. A little compassion goes a long way.

The point? Be a little nicer, it probably won't hurt.

Are you Asian? Do you write novels? Or fanfics?
Sorry, why are you asking me this? I'm not the author of those stories so I don't know.

But, in my opinion, it's not good to generalize Asian writers and just mention the stories above. There's also revenge love, I really love how the 2nd couple was a green flag. There are a LOT of novels written by Asian writers but we can't just generalize them from a few stories you mentioned.

Half Asian Half Spanish, I write novels. Won't reveal the pen name I use because some people might purposely sabotage my novels. And yes, I'm afraid of hate comments because it hurts me even though it's from a stranger :)

I watch dramas as a way to enjoy my free time. A time when I don't really have to think, unlike when I'm working, studying, or writing my own novels.

I've been watching Thai dramas since 2017, and I could say that all dramas have their own strength and weaknesses. There is no perfect drama for everyone. It differs depending on a person's preference. However, one thing I can say is that if you keep watching dramas to critique them, find faults in them, and focus on their weaknesses, it will be hard to truly enjoy a drama.

The reason I'm saying that is because, yes, not all of the actors are great, but I somehow know that they put effort and time into it. I'm not a fan of BounPrem as actors, but I am a fan of them just as Boun and Prem. From what I've seen, it wasn't easy for them to come this far, and I admire that. I will continue to support them as much as I can. So please go easy on them as well; they are not perfect actors, but they still have feelings. Who wouldn't be sad and depressed if people were saying something bad about something you've worked hard for?

That's why, even as a writer myself, if I notice some things that are not good, I usually just keep them to myself and note them so I can learn from them. Unless they are asking for the critique, or they enjoy hearing something bad about it. Or maybe if the actors really deserved to be roasted.

I am really enjoying this drama; it is making me laugh. I noticed that they must have spent a lot on cars and settings. A good break from watching toxic and tragic dramas.

This drama deserves more recognition. It was a good watch, I didn't hate anything. The acting and plot were just right. The politics were great as well. The characters are good as well, not the perfect male lead. I haven't seen much drama that starts with the Male Lead's conflict like this drama has. Overall, it was good and not bad.

OMG!! I just finished reading the novel, and honestly, I can't imagine anyone being Hua Yong other than Huang Xin. I love how his expressions shift when he pretends to be weak and when he isn't.

Hi, I haven't read the novel since I couldn't find a translation. I'm not sure if I understand what happened near the end of ep 3. What did Hua Yong do with his pheromone(? not sure if that's what the purple-like aura is)? Did he try to see if it would affect Shao You? Since it didn't seem to, he guessed an Omega had marked him.
