The title says it all—literally.
At first, the story introduces the ML as an immortal cultivator guarding the northern gate. He then decides to open a time rift to return to the mortal world. But by the second-to-the-last episode, he suddenly reveals that he’s the last descendant of the Jiang Family. His mother hid him to protect him from the main antagonist’s family, who wanted to use him as a human cauldron—just like what happened to his sister.
Then at the very end, he sacrifices his cultivation to tear open the heavens and destroy the area where most of the antagonist’s family was cultivating.
The plot is honestly confusing. Too many unnecessary twists and turns. I’ve watched a lot of C-dramas on YouTube and Dailymotion that had much better storytelling. This one only stands out because of its production and editing quality—the story itself is weaker than many others I've seen.
Maybe the only reason I stuck with it is because of the FL—I’ve seen her in multiple short C-dramas on YouTube.
