I feel like suspense and investigation genre focused dramas are not mass preference, personally for me I really loved it and willing to rewatch several times.

Novel turned her into a human instead and they changed a lot of things in the drama version, actually interesting changes, so let's see how this one ends.

No what I mean Crown Prince and Empress in the novel is changed into the right chancellor and consort Shu as villain. My take is emperor was aware about everything but he just played along to be oblivious of everything just like how he did in previous scandalous cases. He clearly was afraid of his ministers' powers and was aware about the assassination plot of his consort and her brother that's why the sudden coldness towards her but was the emperor not an indirect culprit because he feared his rule will be in jeopardy so he let his ministers do whatever they did with Peiyi's family back then giving lowkey permission with that household massacre of his brother.

But I feel like it will be consort Shu as in the novel it was shown the Empress and Crown Prince as the real villains but in the adapted drama in mdl itself they had previously spoiled it in the plot description where right prime minister and a concubine as the main villains and only consort Shu has family connection with that minister. Also just after Peiyi's failed assassination attempt suddenly it was shown Emperor stopped giving his attendance to consort Shu. They are literally not gonna giveaway the real villain by focusing on her it will probably be during the last or second last eps things will fall into piece.

Same question, I have read both the novel and manhua even saw the animation but surprisingly this was never addressed so far anywhere. Like if he transmigrated way before and refused interactions with his consorts then where did this crown prince son come from, even the name of the crown prince's mother was never mentioned anywhere.

I've been reading the novel, and I must say I love it. Many have said the episodes ain't sufficient, given the number of chapters. But it has to be remembered, the novel also had the plot about their child. Still for me, a few more episodes were indeed needed and now I want to see how they actually adapt it. Like which scenes will be included or excluded, or whether they will improvise or add new scenes, especially interested in how they will portray all those battle scenes.

Not for me, had to take a break midway. The storyline is good but can't tolerate the amount of times "Si Feng" was called by the FL, it became an annoying loop.

No it will release in the original novel order. Doesn't matter if this one is filming before others.
