liu xue yi, i like you a lot but not enough to torture myself watching this. please avoid these kinds of scripts and leading lady next time 😭dropped it then tried to resume and mzy is just…terrible at acting. the script did no one any favors either.
hi, not to antagonize you but I was shocked toread about you saying that the FL cannot cry with tears. She perfectly…
we can agree to disagree :) i might not have watched it in dolby 4k quality but i can see clearly zhang linghe’s tears in the quality that i used to watch the drama while i couldn’t see hers. it’s okay, i will still watch her other dramas and this isn’t criticism just to insult the lead actress. I think she’s really pretty and every actor and actress always has room to grow
i watched this when it came out and liked it. i rewatched it again recently and realized this drama is not meant to be rewatched lol i think this drama is meant for a really young audience
tbh I don't think there's a lot of flashbacks compared to other dramas but I agree about the fillers. there were…
i had the same reaction when i saw her first crying scene. I thought at least that scene where she was talking to her mom about the diagnosis…there was a close up shot of her mom saying “don’t cry” and wiping away her tears, but there were none to wipe away 😭
but i think she’s still kinda new, she’ll get better with more roles and experience
this drama is not bad, the plot is simple and easy to watch but it suffers from too many flashbacks and filler scenes. this is my first drama with the FL and i hope her fans don’t attack me as this is not a bash but she cannot cry with tears in all her crying scenes - and there are a lot of them. the ML is handsome as ever and his profession in the drama is new and interesting. i wouldn’t rewatch but if anyone is a fan of either of the leads, i’d definitely recommend them to watch it.
finally finished this drama. watched it for the FL and honestly watching her was the only thing that got me thru this drama. weak script and i suffered from so much secondhand embarassment from all the antics she did in the first part of the drama
my thoughts:they started out as “siblings” at the beginning of the drama but turns out the FL is not related and has a different father. What unnerved me was that the ML and FL have a more than passing resemblance to each other (actually i think they look close enough to be real life siblings) so it made it so uncomfortable for me to watch. And worse was that the FL just won’t let off calling him san ge (三哥) even after getting married or having a child 😭😭*I had dropped it but watched the last episode just to see the ending.
went into this with high expectations since it was recommended a lot on reddit but i came off disappointed and eventually dropped it. In my opinion, Si jin started really solid and fast paced and then eventually tapered off and dragged. I didn’t feel the main leads had a lot of chemistry either. It was partly my fault I watched this back to back with blossom and both had a similar storyline so I couldn’t help but make comparisons.
The drama wasn’t all bad, but the FL’s role honestly came off as a modern woman in a historical setting. I don’t know if that’s a good thing or a bad thing to other viewers but it didn’t really sit well with me
i honestly wish they got a better FL for the show but i guess it’s acceptable. All the unnecessary pouting, batting of eyelashes and posing even during serious situations drove me crazy. The ML is totally worth watching this drama for. i’m almost done but the show is starting to drag. Will definitely finish the drama for the ML and the story conclusion though.
