I watched that one and it was good indeed (I really liked his character, like u know 'touch her and you'll die' that kind of guy). And I think rather than this version of duanju, I'm still waiting for his duanju with wang xiao yi which is duanju version of long drama Road Home (Jing Boran n Tan Songyun)

YEEESSS, I'm so disappointed that WKM version is sooo bland, and everyone keeps saying that it's because now he has a girlfriend .-. (I'm currently re-watching the WXW version too)

Yeah, I read the novel the part when her father reprimanded her for not being grateful to He Yan and even his father knew that Xiao Jue won't like Muxue even after being so long with him in the army.

In the novel, He Yuansheng is the first born and the head of He Family, his son is He Rufei. The 2nd brother is He Yuanliang, and he is the father of He Yan. So yeah, they were cousins.

Yeah ikr, I already read the novel and I didn't feel anything like that in Chu Zhao's character

In the novel, he did try to lured He Yan out and asked her not to marry Xiao Jue, in the novel:

Yeah, because I read the novel too, I kinda pity him a bit. It's because of He Yuansheng (HRF's father) and his wife's decisions to send him to the village for recovery because the doctor said that he wouldn't live for long (In the novel, He Yan and He Rufei were cousins born on the same, on spring equinox, while HRF was born weak, HY was born healthy). By the time he recovered at sixteen (means he actually can go home), He Yan ran away from home because HYS planned to marry her to Song Taotao and joined the army and became General Feihong, but still using his name.

In the novel, Shen Muxue is more irritating than Xu Pingting honestly.. *in the novel, she is the physician at Xiao Jue's army (In the drama they changed her to Song Taotao. She likes Xiao Jue to the point following him to the army) and in the novel, she was the one who revealed that He Yan is a female in palace banquet.

Watched the preview of ep 34... I don't remember Chu Zhao being so delulu like that wkwkwk
it's not like he doesn't know that He Yan likes Xiao Jue anyway ._.

That'd be great, but at the end of the novel, they had a daughter and her name is Xiao Yao heheh

In the novel, the Emperor granted their marriage and also promoting He Yan to Marquis at the same time

Some people who knows chinese guessing it's because the name xiao (肖) in xiao jue has the same character moon (月亮/yuèliàng)
