I have watched bro HRF in comedic roles elsewhere that sometimes i cant find him a serious villainđŸ€Ș need to…
I also watched him in Youthful Glory and his character was so unserious even hearing his voice as He Rufei makes me can't concentrate 😂

What does Wu An Lang the new promoted betowed to HY mean? Seems like translated as general but in chinese is "Lang"…
I am an Indonesian, sometimes I also watch it with indonesian subtitle, and wuan lang in indonesian subtitle if I translated to english is "military security officials", but I also read the english novel and her rank is Marquis (because in the novel it's also written as Marquis Wu'an).

Yeah ikr, chu zhao is just a bystander, making everyone fighting with each other but he doesn't want to get hurt…
Yeah, and I think it's also because chu zhao still doesn't know that she is the real general feihong, and she definitely won't choose chu zhao over xiao jue because chu zhao is connected to xu jingfu and also he rufei the traitor and the one who wants her to die no matter what and tarnished her reputation as general feihong ._.

And the way he expect HY to follow him, like man you are not as good as dudu dont expect anything. đŸ€Ł he is…
yeah ikr, he's really the strictly "give and take" in relationship. Like he really expect someone to do something after he did something that he thought it means the whole world to them. Feels like "I did this for you so would u do this for me" ._.

He yan before vs after rebirth physical appearance, how did she look?
in the novel, they're just two different women, because xu zhiheng (he yan's husband in the novel) and he rufei also saw her face when they came to the capital, and both of them were not suspicious of her because of the face, but her name that similar to their death cousin/wife (he yan rebirth to a different family)

I can’t tell you how much I hate Chu Zhao- what a POS manipulator ugh! I really liked ep 24 when they showed…
Yeah ikr, chu zhao is just a bystander, making everyone fighting with each other but he doesn't want to get hurt himself ._.
On Legend of the Female General Aug 13, 2025
Honestly, it's really frustrating watching the "love story" between Liu Buwang and Mu Hongjin. Because of his female junior who liked him, she lied to MHJ that LBW sold her out and didn't want to marry her. And in the end, LBW died while protecting Jiyang City, her hometown. 😭😭😭

Did you read the novel? Don't they go into details later? I'm assuming this is a big part of the story. For instance…
Yeah, in the novel, after so much twist, her final goal (which is getting her title back from rufei) is coming back to the capital and reveal that she's the real general feihong. She revealed that she's a woman to the emperor and get marriage decree, after that she and xiao jue collecting evidence that he rufei is not the real general feihong by going to the academy to compare the writing, and find secret letter in rufei's possession between xu jingfu and wutou leader. So it's like killing two birds with one stone (the evidence they found not only about he rufei isn't general feihong, but also xu jingfu's treason with wutou people). I really like xiao jue when he said to the emperor, "This Young Master He doesn't know how to fight battles, he only knows how to accept rewards." And in the end, he yan's mother gave the testimony about he family's plan to switch he yan and he rufei.

Actually, when everyone found out that he rufei is not the real general feihong, the novel describing his life before he took the title from he yan. In the novel, after his birth, the doctor declared that he won't live long, so he yuansheng and his wife (first madam) decided for themselves that he yan will act as he rufei while he rufei was sent to village. At sixteen he was fully recovered, but at that time, He Yan was running from home and went to the battle and became General Feihong because He Yuansheng intended to marry her to Song Taotao (he's really insane and her father's not helping -_-). Because of that, he learned martial arts that he didn't want to do. That what makes him hate he yan.

"In He Rufei’s heart, a trace of resentment suddenly arose. For so many years, he had been living a life in the village that couldn’t be seen by others. He thought He Yan was the same as him, but when he truly saw her, he discovered they were completely different. She was using his identity and living so happily. Why? She arbitrarily decided the fate of others and then returned the arranged fate to her own hands."

Yeah because that's what happened in the novel, the scene where she told her the ten immortal secrets (because…
because there are some different points between the drama and the novel. in the novel, he knew after connecting clues from investigating "Madam Xu" a.k.a He Yan before rebirth, like before she died her husband concubine said general feihong to her (and the maid of xu household heard it), and he rufei and her birthday are on the same day (spring equinox). Here's the detail from the novel:

In Jinling, they had learned from Hua Youxian that the original “He Rufei” was a woman. Now He Rufei’s actions in the Huayuan battle clearly showed he wasn’t the original “He Rufei.” Xiao Jue had been ordering Luan Ying to investigate women close to He Rufei, but now it seemed unnecessary. Although Maid Qin only said “General He,” these three words had already made everything clear.

The original He Rufei, who studied at Xianchang Hall, went to Rurulou with young men in Jinling, who achieved brilliant military feats in the Fuyue Army, was Xu’s First Madam, the cousin born on the same day as He Rufei. Now, Xu’s First Madam was dead. No one in the world knew this secret, so He Rufei became the real “Flying Phoenix General.”

He seems indifferent in the drama because in the novel He Yuansheng is He Rufei's father and the head of He Family, and He Yan's father is He Yuanliang. But here in the drama, He Yuansheng is he yan's father and he rufei is her stepbrother, while in the novel they're cousins.

Your whole point doesn't make sense tbh, the drama was already shot before the original actor had problems so…
Yeah, I don't really like the change of the character. Because I like the character Lin Shuanghe because he knew earlier that he yan is a woman than Cheng Lisu in the novel (Cheng Lisu only know when He Yan came back to the capital with Xiao Jue). And also they're not including character Shen Muxue, female physician who likes xiao jue and followed him to yezhou garrison (in the drama they changed it to Song Taotao, I was surprised at first, because that was supposed to be shen muxue). But I kinda like that they're not including shen muxue because she'd be the SFL :")) (she's kinda quite annoying when she knows that he yan is a female).
Replying to Sophiee Aug 12, 2025
Chu Zhao is the sml. He can get quite annoying later on
But even when I read the novel, I feel like Chu Zhao doesn't even like He Yan. I mean, even when the emperor granted marriage to he yan and xiao jue, he shamelessly proposed to he yan and when she asked why he said "because I love you". I didn't feel like he was sincere when he said that, he just wanted to annoy xiao jue.
Replying to Neverland Aug 12, 2025
She literally told him her top secret?!?!I will take that as her confession of her true identity. Even though…
Yeah because that's what happened in the novel, the scene where she told her the ten immortal secrets (because of the water god festival tradition)to xiao jue. In the novel she said: “In my previous life, I was a female general.”

can u tell me what is the significance?
the moon represents xiao jue, so basically she told him "I like u, but u don't know that I like you."
Replying to Shahin Aug 9, 2025
I wanna know why cheng lisu calls xiaojue huaijin??
it's his courtesy name (name given after reaching adulthood (someone correct me if I'm wrong), xiao jue is his birth name *I also just know about courtesy name after reading the novel youthful glory (another c-drama adopted from the novel with the same name)

Only on ep 4 but Love that he found out about he yan being female early. I really don't know if I hate Mr chu…
in the novel, his name is chu linfeng, and chu zhao is a chu family's bastard (his mother is like a woman from a brothel iirc), chu linfeng took him in because his other three sons doesn't have any resemblance with him (like they're not as handsome as chu zhao)
Replying to TY_Track1806 Aug 9, 2025
even in the novel iirc, chu zhao only confessed to he yan when the emperor already granted imperial marriage decree…
yes, he yan rejected him when he asked to meet her privately because she likes xiao jue (and then xiao jue barged in and he yan drag him out after chu zhao left), and no, the maid never confessed, not even when she asked chu zhao to kill her (because at some point the crown prince want her as her maid, but the crown prince abused her even poisoned her, so she asked him to kill her)
