It's a bit tricky to explain, but yeah… sort of? He already knows/knew about the vampires, and he basically has his own reasons for wanting to stick around with them – like driving Ramil to check out where Ciar and Mekhin are hanging out and so on.
Where are the novel readers? This is the time I really need you guys to tell the complainers that ep 1 is following…
I don't think it even matters at this point how many of us novel readers (or people who have been following Boun/Prem and the production closely) say that Revamp ep 1 is actually very true to the source (so far). People don't want to hear it, they have already made up their minds after seeing "comedy" and slapped the GMMTV label on it.
But here is the thing: BounPrem fans (broccolis) and those of us who have followed Revamp from day one came in with completely different expectations than someone who only saw the pilot/trailer. From the start, Boun and Prem have themselves said that there would be comedy mixed into the story and that the pilot really dont show the whole thing. So when we watched ep 1, it wasn't really a surprise at all – it was exactly what they had been preparing us for.
The truth is: Ramil is goofy in the novel, even more than what they actually did in the serie. That's part of his character, because… hello, he is literally been stuck in a painting for a century. Of course he is out of touch with the world. The tone has always been a mix of drama + comedy, not 100% dark bloodbath.
And yeah, pilots are pilots. They are not the actual show. If people expected the exact same atmosphere from the pilot all the way through the series, then that is on the marketing, not on the story or the acting. But no matter how many times this gets explained, the “hate train” just keeps rolling because it's easier to hate GMM than to look at the actual work.
At this point, it feels like novel readers or long-time fans could scream this from the rooftops and it wouldn't change a thing – those who want to complain will keep complaining.
Definitely was not originally promoted as a comedy. That threw me for a loop. Especially with the wait time for…
He wasn't saying back then that there would be humor, just that the pilot trailer didn’t really reflect what the final series would be like. That was already in 2023. Later on (like a few weeks ago), he explained that nothing major actually changed, apart from Ramil and Punn’s storyline being developed more. At first, Boun wanted to highlight the vampire part, while GMMTV wanted to expand the BL side of it. But the humor was always part of the plan from the start, so people expecting a super dark series were kind of off from the beginning. And still, this isn’t a comedy - Boun and Prem have both been clear about that! But yeah - there was always going to be humor in it - even if people are saying that the og trailer was "darker", it really doesnt matter because even then, IF PEOPLE LISTENED - we knew the serie was not going to be like that trailer.

Boun mentioned back when the first trailer came out in 2023 that the mood in the trailer didn’t really match the whole series, and that we should take it with a pinch of salt. It was meant to be this way from the start.
I think it's a shame the comments is like this - i am very sure that if another company would publish EXACTLY…
I totally agree! There is so much complaining, and I just don't get it. Right now, it feels like people are upset just because there's some comedy in it, like we don’t get those kinds of moments in every show. And it’s not even something only GMMTV does.
Guys – Revamp was first announced back in November 2021. It's older than a lot of the current GMMTV ships! so why are we even comparing it to other shows?? Give this show some respect atleast. Also - give some freaking respect to MGB also, it might not have been your cup of tea but please, people worked hard for it!
I will try to explain as best as I can without spoiling too much:Pokpong is Punn’s biological brother, but he…
Yes, in the book Punn is considered a hunter, but it’s not as straightforward as it sounds. His role is a bit more complicated, and I guess we will have to wait and see how the series chooses to show it!

In the book, no, they have A LOT of scenes together and for a moment you almost think they will end up as a couple, but I would say it’s more of an open ending in that case. In the end, nothing actually happens between them. That said, because they do share so many scenes, I could totally see them changing it in the series to make them end up together. But in the novel Ramil and Punn is the only couple!
Like i said, i though they would end up as a couple! Some scenes really screamed that they would head to that! So i was really sad when they didnt. - so i kind of hopeee they change it for the serie!
Can someone give me a book spoiler is Stamps character Pokpang evil since he is with hunters and their photos…
I will try to explain as best as I can without spoiling too much: Pokpong is Punn’s biological brother, but he was adopted by another family. They still have a "good" relationship—no issues there. When Punn meets Ramil, things happen and Punn suddenly stops answering Pokpong’s calls. Wanting to know why, Pokpong goes to Punn’s best friend, Jett. Jett ends up telling him all about vampires, hunters, and so on. And since Jett is, well… Jett, he paints vampires as completely evil. Pokpong picks up on that idea pretty quickly, and because Jett is Punn’s best friend, he has no reason to doubt him.
Just to be clear: Punn is a hunter, but Pokpong is not - atleast not in my eyes. Pokpong isn’t evil or bad—he is actually a pretty kind person, stubborn but kind. He just tends to trust people blindly, which makes him easy to influence. I would not call him a hunter but he is on the hunters side for a "big" part.
Punn is basically a hunter, so ofc he follows Ramil around to see where everyone is "hiding". He want to know,
