JBZ and MY own my heart!
I enjoyed every moment of this drama. The chemistry between the leads was 🔥. The way they never hesitated to help or sacrifice for one another was top notch. I'm not usually a fan of miscommunication but inwas rooting for JBZ and MY so much that i was too invested to stop. Situ Ling did a great job as the villain. He kept on raising the bar on getting on my nerves. Glad it was a happy ending and we got to see the main leads trusting themselves.I loved Grandma, 27, Buxiu, Master She, Tianji, Yan Xiao. I felt they were truly part of the story.

Lots of pain
I loved how calculating our ML was. And i can't get over the fact that grand tutor ling poisoned his daughter just so the king won't be healed. Glad the our main couple resolved their miscommunication and the fight scenes were great.The lows for me would be perceptor Du. I didn't understand her character the later half of the show and i just started skipping her scenes but she was everywhere. She and Situ Ling from love in the clouds will make a diabolical couple.

Started strong but lost steam halfway through. The long separation of the leads and too much focus on frustrating characters like Quan Jianting and Qingcheng made it hard to enjoy. What saved it were Cheng Yi’s fight scenes, the little fox, his wife, and Rumu. Glad I don’t have to deal with another black-fox villain.Was this review helpful to you?

Amazing Fight scenes with a Long-Awaited Payoff
The fight scenes were a definite highlight, they were well-choreographed, intense, and consistently engaging. Action lovers will not be disappointed.That said, I found Su MuYu too kind for his own good. Time and time again, he spared characters who went on to cause him even more trouble, and while this fits his moral code, it became frustrating to watch. His mercy often felt like a weakness rather than a strength.
Su Changhe, however, completely stole the show. The actor delivered an outstanding performance, chaotic, unhinged, and unpredictable, yet fiercely loyal as a friend. He brought so much energy and depth to every scene he was in.
Watching this right after Dashing Youth made the imperial family’s actions even more irritating, as it felt like they constantly escaped consequences. That’s why the ending especially what happened to the First Prince was incredibly satisfying. It finally felt like justice was served. Thanks Su MuYu!
Overall, this drama delivers strong action, memorable characters, and a rewarding conclusion that makes the journey worthwhile.

Enjoyable
I loved everything but Ye Yun's and Wen Jun's fate. He suffered all through his life and couldn't catch a break. Wen Jun i was pissed at her character but also felt sorry for her. She couldn't catch a break. Would have loved a better ending than her going back to the king to continue being imprisoned. I wish i saw a glimpse of her relationship with the king.Was this review helpful to you?
