A Good Drama Despite Weak Points

I decided to watch this drama because of the ML played by Wang Jia Mao whom I find very handsome in royal roles and robes. I first saw him in Throne of Regret wherein he played the role of the King who made the other woman the Empress rather than the former female general who served him with great loyalty and sacrifice. The FL in that drama decided to leave the unfaithful Emperor. Despite being the scumbag in that drama I found him very handsome and been longing to see him playing royalty again but in good character. I got my wish here.
In this drama, the ML is faithful to the FL. He is secretly in loved with her and always protecting her. He was a loving husband as well as a faithful Prince Regent to the young Emperor. I got my wish to see him once again in good role as Prince and faithful husband. He is also presented as a very wise and competent Regent.
The FL was somewhat weak and easy to be manipulated but she learned from her mistakes and gradually grew in wisdom, knowledge and competence. Her privilege of being appointed in the royal court as the first female official is deserving.
I also like the choice of the director to use as a major villain the girl-servant of the FL. Usually, the villain woman is the stepsister of the FL or an illegitimate sister. Instead, the maid servant was elevated as a mistress or concubine of the 2ML.
The presentation of the 2ML, the first husband who serves as the main villain is quite inappropriate for me. He was the top scholar of the young generation. He must be very bright and even a possible candidate to be Prime Minister but instead of showing character of a very intelligent young man he was always acting, speaking and making decisions like a stupid or unreasonable man. The director I think failed to guide the actor who played this role to portray his character properly as demanded by the story.

Complicated yet a Beautiful Love Story

When I saw the teaser in Facebook I thought that this is just a regular Unfaithful Boyfriend, Suffering Girlfriend type of story. Instead, as the drama unfolds it became complicated and unexpected.
The Male Leads, both the ML Manager-Producer and the 2ML the popular Actor are both very handsome. They genuinely care for the FL despite her weaknesses and limitations. I thought that the ML would be a heartless boyfriend who will choose the villain woman and will make the FL suffer abandonment, jealousy and emotional pain instead he gradually proved his love and fidelity to the FL by rejecting the scheming villain woman and competed for the FL's love with his very own brother. The 2ML besides being very handsome too is also caring, loving and protective of the FL. It's very difficult to choose between the two.
The FL is pretty and cute but it seems that her acting his lacking. She is a one sided actress. Her facial expressions are repetitive and no variety even in different circumstances. However, since she is presented in the story as one who has emotional weakness it is quite understandable. She is funny too. Her simple looks makes me remember San Cai of the Meteor Garden fame. She is simple and poor yet loved and respected by rich, handsome boys simply because of the goodness of her heart and her purity. Her simplicity is her best asset. Unlike the villain woman who is elegant but always presenting herself as a woman in heat.
The ups and downs of the story is very nice. It's quite difficult to determine whom she will finally choose at the end: the ML who was her original boyfriend or the actor who helped her. Glad that at the end she chose to be with the real love of her heart, the one who really makes her happy. I love happy ending. But I pity the guy who didn't get the girl.

Too Late for the Scumbag

This is the second drama of Xi Er Li as ML that I have watched. I find him so handsome and so tall. I love the way he loved and respected and trusted his wife throughout the drama. No major conflicts between the ML and the FL because they have absolute trust of each other in contrast with the 2ML who is a lying scumbag.
The FL is beautiful, dignified, very talented teacher and outspoken. She really speaks her mind and heart. I also love that she immediately moved on from the 2ML scumbag and married the ML. I also like that after discovering that her husband is rich she didn't make a drama to make it a divisive issue between her and the ML. She loves her husband rich or poor.
The parents are also exemplary loving, caring and understanding as well as the sister of the 2ML scumbag. They are kind and genuinely caring. The parents and grandparents of the ML accepted the FL with joy despite the fact that she didn't come from rich or powerful family.
The assistant secretary of the 2ML scumbag is also very good. He was always reasonable and honest as a friend and adviser to his boss.
I love the happy ending. The villain woman learned to accept defeat and the scumbag 2ML went away sad but fully realized that he lost ultimately the good fiancé.

Funny an d Bright Love Story

I followed the drama because of the ML who is so handsome.
The ML despite his being rich, very intelligent and powerful didn't abuse his power or always gentle and respectful of the FL. Unlike others who torture the FL even though she is already his long time wife. Here the ML respected and protected the FL which is so gentlemanly of him. It's nice also that even if for a very short time the ML got to show his body shirtless. Hihihi....
The FL is very intelligent and talented but also funny and hardworking. She is a good role model for girls. She is also level headed.
I love the character of the sister of the ML. Very bright, friendly and supportive to her brother and to his beloved, the FL.
The parents of the villain are so despicable.
Nice drama with happy ending.

Nice Drama

I was attracted to this drama because of the ML who is very tall and handsome. The FL is very beautiful too. The first part of the story is so nice because of the romances and how they grow together as husband and wife. The second part is somewhat dragging and I think could have been edited by the director better.
I love how the ML is so loving and protective of his wife. His mother and grandma and sister are also very loving and caring people. In the first part the FL appears to be strong but in the later part she appears weak and vulnerable.
Glad that it has a happy ending and that justice is done to the villains.
It is highly questionable that after being in a coma for days the ML suddenly attended the company Board Meeting in full health and strong.
Still, it is a good watch.

Nice Happy Ending

I decided to watch this drama because of the ML whom I always found so young, handsome and refreshing. This is his 3rd drama that I've watched. Each time he doesn't disappoint. I like his smile and his silent but strong presence. He is a man of few words but always meaningful. I love his character how he loves and cherish the FL from high school until they have grown up. He loves her sincerely and willing to live a simple life just to be with her.
In the story the FL is 28 year old yet her acting is always like for high school teenager. I do not see the chemistry between the FL and the ML. The ML looks young and fresh, the FL looks old and childish. She is never shown working brilliantly to earn the respect of her peers. She is always roaming around doing nothing. Spending a lot of time just to catch an interview with the CEO. But, I admire her goodness. She really cares for the ML even though she thought he was poor. I love her bonding with her mother and friend. Her refusal to receive any money from the mother of the ML is also admirable.
I also find the editing and synthesizing of the story into one part are not done properly. The editor could have done better. The director should have taught better acting to the FL not just acting like a teenage girl most of the time. It's not appropriate for the age of her character.

From Vegetative State to Energetic Love

I have seen already several dramas with the ML character was comatose or in vegetative state then later healed by the presence of the FL. So the storyline of this drama is already common and overused. However, I was still attracted to watch after seeing how handsome and cute the ML is. He looks so young, innocent, cute and strikingly handsome. Despite having these traits he was portrayed as sterned and arrogant rich boy which he played well acting wise.
The FL started acting in a funny or comedic manner but I'm glad that her character developed into mature, strong and wise lady who was caring, loving, hard working and mature in handling her husband and even the women who were attracted to him. She is over protective without being overbearing. Many FL are presented as doctors, managers, etc but she is presented as an author of novels. Her being a writer and author give her very good understanding of life such as fighting for her rights and dignity, rejecting the evil machinations of her family and handling her relationship with her rich husband - the ML - with maturity and practical wisdom. She is soft spoken but straight forward in speaking her mind if necessary.
I love the way the ML grow in loved with the FL. Many ML are hesitant to express their love of the girl but this ML is direct and clear in telling his wife: "I love you". He also didn't allow himself to be manipulated by the former classmate who was obsessed with him. He stood his ground. He didn't fall into the mistakes that many ML are falling into to their bitter regrets in the end.
There is also no major violence here. No tortures, kidnappings, drugging, etc.
What a beautiful love story. I highly recommend.

Loving Her Across the Years

The plot and story of this drama is already very common. A fiance whose boyfriend prioritize his first love over the FL. The scumbag is cold and heartless. But when the FL found the main ML the CEO the scumbag suddenly became jealous and furious and realized he truly love her. Too late.
The FL is very beautiful and cute. She looks so young for her role of a doctor but she played it well. She is soft and tender one time but strong in personality later on. I love the way she fast discarded the scumbag and never looked back again.
The CEO ML is so loving, caring, faithful and dedicated. He is also very macho and handsome. He is a perfect boyfriend, husband. He prioritized the FL in his life such as being with her always, cooking for her and helping her family financially and medically.
It is also nice that his parents didn't look down on the poor wife but she is immediately accepted with love. There is also less violence in the story.
Glad to see that the focus of the drama is the process of growing affection and love for the ML and the FL rather than the hatred and evil plans of the villains. The ML fell in loved with the FL from childhood and he held on to it until they finally become husband and wife. Very nice.

Karma for the Scumbag

I saw this drama's teaser in Facebook and glad that I've found it in You Tube.
The first husband ML is really cute, macho and handsome unfortunately he was a heartless fool easily manipulated by his bitch secretary. I agree with the decision of the FL to finally reject him and choose the one who truly loves her. She found real love and happiness with the most deserving man as her second husband.
The second ML is genuinely loving the FL and faithful through the years. His role is exemplary.
The FL is talented and intelligent and a very dedicated woman. She was the loving, faithful and dutiful wife. Unfortunately her love and sacrifices were wasted by the scumbag first ML.
I think the mistress secretary was not punished enough. She deserves more punishment.
I'm sad that the company went bankrupt. The FL helped in establishing it. I prefer that she took over the company as its new CEO and make it even bigger.

A Lovely Love Story

I love this drama. The ML is so handsome and mature for his role as a playboy CEO. The FL is so beautiful and young and with refreshing beauty. Even though in the English translation I've watched the ML is already 30 year old while the FL is only 20 year old the chemistry is very evident for the two leading stars. They look wonderful together.
The ML is very loving and protective of the FL. I love to see that he is always eager to kiss and make love with the FL. He is so much in loved with her. Overly protective. However, I found it a weakness in the story that despite several evil attempts of the 2ML and other villains the ML didn't give the FL some bodyguards to protect her always. Knowing that she is pregnant and constantly in danger due to people with evil plots she should have been given extra protection such as a secretary of her own and at least two bodyguards to accompany her talking to her relatives, etc.
Even though the FL is beautiful and so lovely, her role is that of a former Assistant Secretary of the heir of a rich family. So should be presented as very intelligent, bright, articulate and fast thinker. Instead, she is presented more as a weak damsel in need of help from the ML.
The mother of the ML is so wonderful. When she thought that the FL was just a plaything for her son she treated her with rejection but once her son the ML told her that she is the girl whom he loves and will marry she suddenly changed. She became loving and caring Mother in Law to the FL. Her desire is for her son the ML to find a wife and built a family.

Handsome ML but Disgusting Plow of Story

I am drawn to this drama because of the ML Wang Yan Xing who is very handsome. However I am disgusted with the stupidity of the FL and the way they both stupidly manipulated by the villains.
The romantic moments are beautiful and wonderful. I love the way the ML romances and pampers his wife the FL. The FL was already aware that her husband is very rich and powerful yet she is still so stupid to feel insecure about it. The FL pretend to be insecure of the lofty position of her husband yet she delights every time he saves her using his power and authority and influence. What an idiot woman. She is also easily manipulated by believing the main villain at the ending part. Also, the husband could have given her a job in the company and she is always assisted by one or two secretaries to help her. She must have her own office. Since he is always visiting her and she is known to his wife she should have been given better protection after the first incident of bullying occurred.
The ML also appears imprudent at the later part of the story. Imagine, he stops the marriage just because that villain saved him 10 years ago. If I am the ML right there and then I will marry my wife and go on with the celebration and not allow that evil woman to bother us. Even though he knew that the villain has intention to trouble their relationship as husband and wife they still allow her to stay with them and even enter their bedroom. So stupid.
The ML promised his wife to protect her always but every time he is away the wife is in danger. Can he not assign bodyguards for his wife? His wife must have her own secretary to turn to every time she is in need of help. She must have guards to turn to every time she is in danger. Even at home there must be maid servants who always look at the welfare of the Lady of the House.
I am disgusted. Yet Wang Yan Xing is still very handsome. Hihihi...

A Great Retelling of the Great Story

My family loved the original METEOR GARDEN which was the Taiwan version. However, when this Korean version came we also loved and enjoyed it. Lee Ming Ho as Jun Pyo was so handsome and so loveable despite his strong character being depicted. The FL Jan Di is so beautiful and so loveable also. The one who played Ji Hoo is very handsome also and perfect for the role.
The music is so beautiful and the production is very grand.
Despite the fact that there is the Taiwanese and Japanese version this classic story never fails to amuse and entertain. Glad that because of this drama Lee Ming Ho became an Asian superstar. He is still one of my favorites until now.

The Greatest Historical Korean Drama Ever

I am convinced that Jumong is the best and the greatest Korean Historical drama ever. The story is so tighly knit and well written script from beginning until the end. Every episode is exciting and excites the viewer to find more for the next episodes.
Song Il Gook was deserving of the Best Actor award as King Jumong. He was superb actor from beginning until the end; from being a young prince, general and later emperor he was perfect for the role. The entire cast is also excellent such as those who played King Geumwa, Prince Daeso, Queen Soseono, Prime Minister Budebul, etc. are all did great.
The battle scenes were greatly executed. The music was so touching and beautiful too. The setting and the costume are well researched and done.
I have watched this drama so many times and each watch is so satisfying.
I highly recommend it.

The Best Zhang Wu Ji Adaptation

I enjoyed very much this very good adaptation of the old story depicting the Condor Heroes or the young Hero Zhang WuJi. The scenery are very beautiful, the historical clothes are excellent, the ML and the FL are very actors and the martial arts was well executed. I watched and rewatched it.
Joseph Zeng was so loveable as the young hero Zhang Wuji. He looks so handsome, innocent and at the same time a formidable warrior. Chen Yu Qi is very beautiful, sweet and a very formidable opponent. The two of them makes a very lovely couple.
The martial arts effects are excellent and well executed.
