It’s ridiculous. Just because you like boy–girl interactions more and bromance isn’t your taste, they’ll call you homophobic 😭 I’m really glad Yanan finally got his own male-lead drama with Tian Xiwei. I don’t like seeing him being dragged into this kind of toxic bromance fandom.

I really hope this airs as soon as possible. I want to see Yanan interacting with the whole cast and I’m glad he’s collaborating with other FOF cast again, especially CDL and Ruirui. But if I say that I want to see Ju Jingyi and Yanan together more, would that really be considered homophobic?

I mean, stuff like the fantasy elements and overall story could pass censorship, but the version they submitted isn’t really the final cut😅 Some BL/GL scenes were probably fine in that version, but since VOS cut down the episodes, they have to re-edit everything and tweak pacing. It means ep lengths might get shorter😭 so even if the content is okay.. the new version might need another check before it get seal.

but even if it passes review, it can still need editing😅 Passing censorship doesn’t mean it’s fully finished..sometimes the team rushes the submission just to get approval early and the version sent isn’t the final cut, they said it's still on post production so they’ll still tweak editing, pacing, dubbing and effects afterwards.

Agree. It’s like they don’t want JJY to gain more fans from acting because she originally came from music. So they keep trying to ruin or criticize her acting. Because it's rare for an idol or a born idol like her, to consistently get lead roles in dramas. Most idols nowadays end up in supporting roles after one drama flops, but JJY’s popularity in both music and acting keeps growing, and that’s a huge threat to her haters. You can also see how many born actresses are suddenly trying hard to sing just so they can call themselves multi-talented. But even if they can sing a little, they still can’t be recognized as professional singers, it just becomes another small skill for them. Meanwhile, JJY is different. She’s recognized both as an actress and a professional singer and that dual success is exactly why people feel so pressed about her.

Meanwhile, a lot of her haters seem to be fans of actresses who are mainly popular internationally but don’t have the same level of domestic impact. So they try to bring her down to defend their faves.
