I think he remembers who he is by the end of epi 28 and is just acting along, but if he does then the scene where he tortures Li Shaung in next episodes doesn't make sense. Math is not mathing
So many good scenes in the last episodes butchered by the placement and these weren't long enough to feel the flow of the story. The story telling was way too rushed. Maybe if I rewatch after a couple of days, will appreciate this drama more.
Loved the episodes but what is this editing pls 😭 When he was defending her in the court, the slow music in the background was killing the vibe fr! Anyways these are just minor things I think 🥲
Will take 5 business days to recover from their confession scene 👍
That scene was adapted poorly. In the novel, she starts to look for Xiao Jue when the battle was pretty much over.…
Thank you! I just did the same and I agree with you. She going feral with fury would've been more in line with her character. However if they had to show the contrast, they could've done much better than having her throw her weapon in the middle of a battle. It made no sense.
I personally like Xiao Jue's reaction better in the drama. Also that this scene has played after the truth has been revealed to him.
That scene was badly written, executed and misplaced.just ruined it for me.As soon as she got distracted and left…
Yeah can relate! That fight scene was going so good until this happened! 🥲 Ive been feeling this way for like 2-3 episodes now, some good build up happens until the writing turns super sloppy and they insert unwanted scenes or characters.
I've re-watched the episode twice. While I felt the scene where she loses control over emotions in the middle of the war almost comical (the scene was completely misplaced imo), I think the purpose was to draw a contrast between her reaction to her fellow comrades' death (and her Master's ) and the possibility of losing Xiao Jue. When the seven officials died, she was venting through intense practice and was already on a thin line. But when it came to Xiao Jue, her brain switched off and she had no idea what to do and how to react. I just wished the lead up to that scene was better atleast. Sigh!
Loved the episodes. The fight as General Feihong should've lasted longer and all we get is the chu guy's musings with his flute. Like pls I've had enough of him
These two episodes felt too shallow for a revelation 🥲 And wdym I need to watch that chu zhao dude for half the time on my screen when the episodes are already too short???
Oh possibly yeh, that would be nice. The only thing is in the preview for ep 25, she's using the sword XJ took…
Yes agree with you, it would definitely not go well with her character. But I felt they wouldn't miss out on adding the "coming for He Yan" part and reconciliation after rundu arc will be good set up for that (where she thinks he wouldn't come to help her)

This would've had so much sense and impact had they retained what was in the novel. We have been robbed 😭
