Dude. I'm not talking abt their chemistry and their interactions. I'm talking all over vibe of the set. Like they both weren't happy with this drama. I didn't mean that they had problem shooting drama with each other. That's weird to say. I feel when script is bad or you're told to do shit stunts or acting, you'll be in foul mood as well and won't want to act. Someone said they were planning to shelve this drama. Tbh. The way it's so bad and might hurt the career of both actors. They should hv shelved it. Maybe these two can do another drama with better script.

No wonder ZLH looked so detached in the BTS of the drama. Both the actor and actress looked like they didn't want to be on the set and were forced to do this drama.

The only good thing about this series is the everyone is looking good. The plot is absolutely lost.

When I saw the recent trailers. All my expectations were shattered when I saw the first trailer last year. I did not like the obsession of so many male characters with FL. And I also don't like where many important female characters are pinning after one male character. It's annoying and tips the balance of the story. Nor do I like dramas where they cross the line with "playing-hard-to-get" troupe.

What happened to shen Yue tbh? She is a great actress but I dunno why her career isn't picking up. She keeps getting one type of roles. I think if she somehow lands a very different role. Complete opposite of what she usually does, that'll help her in her career. And her fanbase needs to move on from Dylan. Why? Cuz ppl exploit it and make fun of her fandom that way. So yeah. She don't need anyone for her career. Meteor garden shipper need to can it.

And no I did not read the novel. I did not find the story compelling enough to read the novel. There are many dramas that I like but I haven't read their novels. Like till the end of moon, love you seven times, fated hearts, blossom, a dream with in a dream and many other Chinese dramas which I like but haven't read their novels.

I can already see the changes. I think they'll ommit the baby part, the confession will obviously be warm. There will definitely be remorse, but I am hoping against hope that they bring massive change where ZLH turns into a villain. Man that will be PEAK!!

This I will agree upon. In Chinese entertainment, connection matters more than your acting skills. I've seen so many talents go wasted and instead such great dramas given to mediocre actors and I dropped many good dramas due to cringe acting. It's sad but it happened to me. Plot and acting does matter a lot. And yes I've seen that a lot "rebirth" theme related dramas are coming next year. So let's se what happens. It's interesting. With loyalty comes huge budget also. No doubt. And I think they are going all out, cuz a lot of international audience is now watching cdramas. After success of POJ, many developed their own list of fav cdramas and the ones they are looking forward to as well. But I honestly do not like Chinese industry at all. The way they operate is very weird. Chinese fan behavior is extremely toxic. All celebs fans can't take a single criticism and the media outlets cash on this engagement. And I've seen so many good actors being overlooked just cuz they don't have this thing called 10 yr contract and don't have connections. And those who have signed contracts, they have back to back projects. No for themselves and no holiday. Celebrity is no life of luxury. What I've gathered, their agency owns them.

Saying that an actress's craft and skills shined only if director is good id actually you saying that Ming Ziyi is weak actress. It's such a ridiculous thing to say. Are you saying saying that she just gotta look pretty, great and know to speak. Rest it's the camera angles & CGI that make drama good. Seriously? Yes director's guidance does matter but you don't rely on them for EVERY project. This is usually for beginners. And Ming Ziyi is a professional. I think Ming Ziyi can act, I never said she could not. She needs to choose different type of roles as well to increase range.

I get your point. And get that every drama has different character obviously. If it was completely same character, the other production will sue the new drama for plagiarism or sth. But versatility is clearly missing here. Yes she might get all the fame, hit dramas and all. But the acting range if she has it, will not shine through if she does only one kind of role. I am a huge fan of actors who can act just with their expressions. I hope she achieves that cuz Empress reborn is my fav chinese novel and that'll show her whether she'll be able to pull off the cold calculating look. I hope so. I just hope the script writers don't put humor in drama to ruin the story. Atleast not unnecessary humor. Anyway, minyi can definitely pull off the nobility aura. But I'm just concerned abt the rest. Keeping Empress reborn aside. She should really explore different roles and not stick to just one type, cuz it becomes a category then. That she always does this certain type of role. She needs to do roles where has to show emotions. All sort of emotions.

After blossom. There is Empress reborn and now blossom of power. That's 3 dramas where she's pretty much playing same kind of role. Rich intelligent delicate woman her, full of schemes, cold heart at first, nobility bearing, traumatic past and when falls in loves, it's only for one. Ming Ziyi is basically female version of alpha male (minus the masculinity & martial arts part) that all girls literally fawn over.

If you didn't dislike the actress, you would want the character gone. Not the actress. Anyway, it okay if you don't like someone. Everyone has their own likes and dislikes. And I also pray she's not in this drama.
