This CDrama looks like it was made in someone's backyard.
I agree with you. I just watched "The Longest Day in Chang'an" and I admired the camera work, colors, costumes and interiors. Great. Same with "The Leaque of Noblemans" and "Fangs of Fortune"... The entire design, interiors and film shots were well thought out and the efforts that were seen were also effective - the visuals were enjoyable. Everything in this film was raw and at times random. It is possible that since success was certain (that cute actor with the fluffy tuft of hair is probably quite famous) - they didn't make any effort. Which is a shame, because the story was great. But I hope that the money that was saved on the production at least went to the actors' salaries......

The original title in Chinese is actually quite poetic. But many international fans may not know or understand…
But why not try to explain it then ? People are very capable of understanding poetic explanations. Cultures are not so different in their human so-called "ground of being"If something important gets lost due to simplification - I really want to know what it's really like.

It was decent, funny and entertaining. Along with the cuteness meter at the last frontier.Absurd, fun and the actors were top notch. The men were not only curled, varnished and made up, like ancient "male concubines" in so-called hero dramas, but really over the top. Flowers on their heads and faces, like on mannequins in a luxury department store. I liked it right away. If I usually leave a movie unfinished at the moment when the beautiful souls belonging to the "just sect" with flowing hair start chasing demons while flying, then this movie was like a black humor summary of the whole wuxia style. There could be something like that - I hope that China has its own so-called Tarantino, who can film a funny story out of a hero cliché......

As always, the bad guy in a drama is the cutest. Because it's boring to play decent people. All the heroes are so heroic that they look alike, like two drops of water. I always confuse them in dramas, who's playing who. Everyone is very beautiful and well-dressed. But since we wouldn't need heroes without bad guys, the most important character in every movie is the "bad guy". And the bad guy in this movie was incredibly charming. He reminded me of my school sweetheart. He was fun to play with.......But he reminds me of me and makes me laugh.....I hope that actor Deng Kai gets many more great bad guy roles.......
Like it , like it and like it....... Much better than these so-called "hit films". Since I watch films after my daily work and Hollywood has become weak, I accidentally (actually starting, as a Westerner would, from the stories of "Judge Di"books ) ended up watching Chinese films. My opinion should not be taken seriously at all. Because I also understand why in category A films the men men have strong make-up ,their hairstyles are unprecedented and theyr hair and lipstic don't even get damaged when fighting or dying. And there is a deadly serious fight to save the world. Usually I stop at the point ,where Ml saves the naive FL for the third time. But I really like "Duel on mont Hua" series. In this drama, the men are not beautyboys and have a cute messy hair, their characters are great and a bit humanly funny. Strong women are also believable - a man has to be poisoned ten times. To keep him under control. I laughed like a little hyena..... Besides my undisputed favorite "The Great Shaolin", and with the cute meter "White cat legend", this is the series that I really enjoy. Even knitting in front of the TV got messed up.....
