I used to watch a lot of HK dramas, took a very long break because plot and characters got typical, and then I saw Hidden Love. Absolutely loved the drama, and she was so on point with her role, I started working through some of her dramas that I thought was interesting.
Even though I didn't see everything, I saw that she kept pumping out new dramas - like two a year - and I cannot imagine how busy her schedule was because I know she also did ads, music, and photo shoots on top of dramas, and it felt like she worked non-stop. Then I saw that she was sick and I wasn't surprised. I didn't blame the company until abuse stories came out and paired it with her work schedule, her company does not seem too far from a black company.
So whether she is blacklisted or not - if she releases a low budget web drama - I would 100% watch it and the ads for her alone. Also, correct me if I am wrong, but I thought her company was ghosting her/not communicating with her any more? And that it's not she wasn't willing to pay the penalties but they were ignoring her and delaying the process?
