Maybe because it was a long time since i read the novel that I'm a little vague on the details but I remember I really liked her cousin character and the novel not so much in the drama and one of the most memorable arks in the novel is the defense of wei and the bloodied flag and the box like I don't mind that they cut a lot of su huang ark because I don't like the character to be honest but like I said there are somethings that are more memorable in the novel I think and the fat guy with her uncle I don't think they showed what happened to him unless like I skipped it, I despise that character and I don't think they showed how bad he was in the drama to be honest but then again im more of a novels Guy then drama this might be the difference and the dramas to be honest short like 160 chapter it's like three days read
