naurr, it’s another girl but she’s really cute too I believe she doesn’t exist in the drama plot though,…
gahhhhh so there was no feeling between them in the novel ? and here i was thinking of starting the novel just for this pair ... well, i' m gonna let this marinate sum more until i'm sure no one die.
Her sister is NOT an idiot. She was a kid ! and she never thought XY was mistreated and ignored bc she never told…
oh please, she was right ! Starting a marriage from lies was wrong ! She was loolikng out for her sister ! Also there is no " as an older sister", just because she is an older sister doesn't mean she has to observe everything. She had HER life. And XY NEVER said anything to her about how her parents "ignore" XY. **She is so proud of saving Xu Yan from bullied at their first encounter, what about all the other times??** What other times ? You mean when her parents ignore XY ? How was she supposed to know their parents was like that to XY. She kept everything to herself and never said anything to her. The fact that XY got mistreated was the PARENTS fault only. It's not her job. Nope, XY understand now that her older sister was just oblivious and care for her, that's why she was apologizing and tried to open up to her sis. Cause XY know she is also part of the reason why they were NEVER close.
All her life, Xu Yan was always taken advantage of. Even her sister is an idiot. Her younger sister was mistreated…
Her sister is NOT an idiot. She was a kid ! and she never thought XY was mistreated and ignored bc she never told anything. As a child, It was NOT her job to bat an eye, it was their parents's. She always protected XY against others. Thankfully, XY is smart enough to understand that. Now they are grown and understand each other well. XY knows she can count on her older sister.
So the former Cat Lord is MZY's dad right ? Based on preview of ep 37. So MZY is half demon right ? No wonder he is the most talented disciple in Changxi palace. (if he is half demon)
lmao of course chinese viewers, why am i even surprised. Chinese viewers doesn't know how to enjoy a good show…
if you actually read my comment, you'll see that's i said "there are good actors in china" and you name some of my favorites but as i said earlier" those are exceptions, not the industry standard" . Popularity and looks often outweigh actual skill when casting C-dramas, so even “high-rated” performances are often basic. It's simple, and i think i don't need to give you an exemples. Awards and rankings in China don’t always reflect real acting talent, because other factors (fan votes, popularity, commercial appeal) heavily influence recognition. You said it yourself : " Even the one you mentioned is just above average for me", talking about Yang Zhi, yet she is considered a S+ actress. How ? She is not better than Kim go eun or even shin ye sun. Like how do they even rate these actors ? like how is Esther Yu an S actress and won awards??? she wouldn't even won the best new actress in Korean with these performance come on now, (and yes i love her, her acting is not the best but as i said, there are other things that compensate the acting such as storytelling and world building. Again I never said there is no good actor in china, exceptions exist — Hu Ge, Sun Li, Zhou Xun, etc. — but they’re exactly that: exceptions. My main argument is that Chinese standards for judging “good acting” are lower than international standards. Just because an actor is called S+ or wins an award doesn’t mean the acting is actually world-class — it just meets the domestic criteria, which are more forgiving than Korea or Western industries.
Can we talk about how our ML has been pretty emotional in almost every single episode lately? (when they argue or whenever something happens between him and the FL) He cries a lot. Usually in C-dramas, it’s the FL who’s the crybaby, but here the ML is very open when in emotional distress . Cute.

Girl please. Let’s be real here: actors in most C-dramas aren’t on the same level as K-drama actors or American series actors. Who are you trying to fool? Of course, there are some good drama actors in China — but those are exceptions, not the industry standard. When it comes to Chinese dramas, what often carries the show isn’t the acting but the storytelling and worldbuilding. That’s why people get hooked — the concepts are big, the worlds are creative. But acting-wise? The overall standard is weaker. If you stay inside the Chinese drama bubble, sure, you’ll think some performances are ‘incredible.’ But once you compare them to K-dramas or Western shows, the difference in subtlety, emotional depth, and consistency is obvious. Name ONE Chinese drama where you genuinely believe the acting is world-class. I could counter it with a lot of K drama or shows where the acting quality is clearly higher. if you took someone who’s never seen a C-drama and made them compare the acting in a popular C-drama right now against a popular K-drama or series, do you really think they’d say the C-drama actors are stronger? I might be a hard C-drama fan but im a not going to try to fool the audience saying that Cdrama acting standars aren't quite low.

Isn’t one of the biggest reasons Chinese dramas aren’t as widely watched the acting? I mean, it’s pretty obvious. Yes, there are good actors in China, but that’s only when you compare them within Chinese standards. If I compare a 'good actor' who won a Best Actor award Drama in China with one in Korea, I think the difference is clear. Take Yang Zi, for example: she’s considered an S+ actress. Is she good? Compared to other Chinese actors, yes. But would she be considered an S+ actress when compared to S+ actors in the international industry? No way
So, finally today everyone is fighting on weibo, who is the cause of drama's failure? Xu kai, Tian Xiwei or Second…
lmao of course chinese viewers, why am i even surprised. Chinese viewers doesn't know how to enjoy a good show like Moonlit Reunion with great acting, solid story and great CGI. They would rather suck up to these 0/10 drama that's focus on the actor's apparence...no wonder the acting standard in china drama is so low. Great actors with good project are the one getting the most hate.
I’m really happy with and impressed by how well-paced each episode is.. There is no real "filler" scenes and in each episode, The plot is gradually unraveling (and it is not too slow in my op). Above all the drama takes a very original approach to the cliché. I don’t think any other drama has everything I like in it the way this one does. The acting are incredible and the CGI (very important to me lol) is great. My only complain is how the SML is written, way too obsessive and sometime his reasoning make no sense but again, i hope they'll try to improve it in the next-last episodes but oh well.
