It's not that I like the changes more than in the original, but they kept a lighter approach this time. I know Japanese dramas always tone down anything from the manga. In this case, instead of Shizuma searching for minato on that island, it's minato who fearlessly confronts his nightmare, "his hometown," just to find shizuma. And as much as I hate Yuka from the manga, who blocked minato on shizuma's phone while she was worried about him, on this one it's Yuka who helped them find him... well, it's also unacceptable that she don't delete shizuma's location from the app. But she helps ok. My complaint is that they always leave us hanging about whether they'll finally have that open kiss. but also ok of they won't. I think they'll save it for the last few episodes, like the usual JbLs, .

Despite the cheating plot, this is still one of jbl this year. It effectively conveys every dramatic scene in detail,with thorough explanations, superb acting, metaphors and characters' minimal gestures and eye contacts.

‎ The rating should be 9.5.The script/dialogue need a raise !, story, acting, chemistry, cinematography, music, and camera work. Jbl hits more than it misses.

I refuse to harshly criticize the entire series because my friends love Punks triangle. All I can say is, why did J-dramas/jbl always give us a good bl concept, but they tend to drag in the middle episodes and then give us an ending like this? Why? 😭 Give us a 2nd season of this.

Again, this is coming from someone who isn't a fan of any of the actors; I'm just a fan of jbl and everything jbl puts out each year.
