As foreigners we will never understand the social obligations of it. Declining will cause issues with advancing in career.. its a part of their traditional culture .. this is why saying no is a big stuff..
drinking is also seen as a sign of respect for their elders.. Koreans even have " hweshik culture" .. and for someone working in corporate.. dinking is also a work for them ( I'm jus trying to explain.. how normal is drinking in SK , so when we read statements like this.. before commenting we also need to understand abt their culture and all )
