OMG this drama was sooo good!! Gong Jun acted as Su Muyu and Cheng HuaShen as Su Chang He , omg I just remembered where I’ve seen Cheng XiaoShen before. I remember watching him in Youth With You with my friends, and he was crying about how dancing was harder than math .
The production and cinematography in this drama is so good. You can tell the producers and directors put a lot of effort into it. The details in every single one of the fight scenes were literally insane.
Okay, on with the drama everyone did a spectacular job acting in this drama. The relationship between Su Muyu and Su Chang He was so deep, and the trust they had for each other was on a whole different level. I think that’s why so many people love this drama. I like thinking of Su Muyu and Su Chang He as the “brains and brawn” dynamic. Of course, Su Muyu is the brains, and Su Chang He is the brawn 😂.
Since this is in the same martial universe as Dashing Youth and Blood of Youth, I rewatched those before starting this. But what I really like here is how it shows the struggles on the “evil” side. Not all villains want to be evil sometimes there’s a cause, a system, pressure, or someone pulling strings behind the scenes. This drama shows how Su Muyu and Su Chang He wanted to shape their sect into something better, something respected, but people hate change. So it shows the deadly and dangerous journey of trying to rewrite how people see you.
OKAY Spider woman I lover her SMMM First of all, I love her martial art power , if I lived in a martial universe, I would definitely want that. Second, her and Tang Lian Yue??? The dynamic was giving extroverted girl × introverted boy and I love that SOOO MUCH 😭😭.
I also need to spotlight Su Zhe. The love Su Zhe had for his daughter when he finally found her again was so emotional and soft. Also, I don’t know if it’s just me, but I love listening to him speak Chinese like idk if it’s his accent or tone but it hits.
The deaths in this drama had me in SHAMBLES from Mu Qingyang, Mu Xue Wei, and honestly everyone who died. The fact that the emperor kept Xiao Yong alive made me MAD. Xiao Yong really thought he could do something 😭😭 like he’s out here provoking martial artists when he can’t even fight himself. If I was Su Muyu, I would NOT have let him die with a full body 😭😭.AND YESSSS THEY DIDN’T LET THEM DIE AT THE END 😭😭😭
