Title The Fable Spoiler
The fight scenes were incredible especially the assassinations at the beginning and the group fight scenes towards the end (Idk if Junichi did his own stunts but it looked like he did). Tight story, quirky and antisocial hero (and family, his sister and father both kick butt too).

I need help understanding episode 4. Why after hugging Manami in Episode 3 and begging her to continue their lessons does he ditch her lesson and make her come find him at the club to scam her out of 520,000 yen? It seemed a very sleazy thing for Kaoru to do to her especially after she stood up for him in front of Ms. Akina? Then, all of a sudden he was giving the money back to her and had fallen in love with her? The 180 was a bit jarring.

Also, it might just be me, but I feel like I'm still missing an explanation for why Kaoru all of a sudden decides to get back together with Manami in the end. His parting from the shacho seems unfinished as he's either his biological father or someone who knew his father (but never admits to it) and Kaoru was clearly hoping to get some heavy questions answered.

I'd also have liked to have seen a 12th episode explaining shacho's backstory as Kaoru's biological father and have him redeem himself by convincing Kaoru to go back to Manami as only he probably could. (My guess is that many scenes towards the end got cut for time). It would have made the ending stronger.

Has anyone read the serialized or novelized version of the story in Japanese? I heard the original storyline and the scenes that were cut are included in the novelized version.

lol when you put this trio together it's like all hell breaks loose https://youtu.be/fv2cb5GZPsk?si=EPSnPPNKe_5u0qwe
This is what made the show watchable!

oooh, I was so excited to watch and bring back Random journey on the way vibes .. but after I've read your comment…
You should watch it and see for yourself.

Imho RJotW had a younger cast which boosted the energy and competitiveness of the group interactions and challenges.

In Living in the Air, it was hard to watch Qin Hao and the older cast as they didn't want to do a lot of the tasks and acted like "tired uncles." It felt low energy compared to the original show.

This feels like a sequel to "Random Journey on the Way": the main sponsors (du xiaoman et al) are the same, the font/format/games are similar except the games are sillier, and the locales are set in resort locations like Sanya, etc. with a different cast (Only TJR and Gao Han Yu return as regular cast members). Original cast members Xia Zhiguang, Yang Chaoyue and Wu Yi show up as guests (likely in support of TJR and GHY).

While I like the styling and the fast pacing of this series, I feel the vibe and chemistry of this group was not as good as the original cast and crew and the repartee among cast members virtually non-existent. TJR made the episodes watchable tbh.

I hope they bring back the original cast at some point including Shen Yue, Cheng Xiao, Wu Yi, and Liu Xueyi. They were hysterically funny with each other (even when they didn't mean to be

Person Qin Tian Yu
I don't know how closely he followed the script in Fated Hearts but I felt his character and their relationship was well-written and well-acted.
