This drama is just so fun to watch! šŸ˜† Like… okay, it’s obviously not some super high-budget masterpiece or anything — the budget is small and all the actors are newbies — but the story is honestly so entertaining. I was giggling from the beginning all the way to the end (except episode 11. The ep was soooo sad).

More people seriously need to watch this drama!
Yeah, it feels a bit like a huge story squeezed into a tiny container, but I think that’s part of the charm… and maybe they’re setting things up for S 2.

And the actors?? They’re all so handsome I can’t deal šŸ˜šŸ’˜
Plus the bts videos on Youtube are hilarious. If you enjoyed the drama, you have to watch the making films too — they make it even more fun. šŸ’• and yes there's English subtitles

Can you please tell me who chaeyong is ? How he and geumbok related or know each other? What did geumbok mean…
Cheoyong is also one of the figures from Korean mythology.

From here on, this is just my interpretation:
Cheoyong didn’t personally know Geumbok. But he disliked the idea of supernatural beings getting involved with humans, so he tried to keep them apart. As I mentioned before, during the conversation with Samshin, there was a sense that relationships between the supernatural and humans aren’t good for either side.
So it’s not that Cheoyong hated Geumbok but he simply didn’t want the two to stay together. That’s why, in order to save Bihyung, he also tried to erase Geumbok’s memories.

Geumbok also knows that Cheoyong wanted his memories erased. In the conversation with Samshin and Gildal, that’s mentioned Samshin says that the only one who allowed Cheoyong to go back into Bihyung’s past, save him, and lose his own memories was Geumbok. But Geumbok’s memories weren’t actually erased, right? Then Bihyung, Gildal, and Jigwi disappeared, and Geumbok believed he himself had been forgotten. From his perspective, it makes sense that he would wander in search of Cheoyong.

That’s how I understood it. but I might be wrong.
A lot of people seem confused, so here’s how I understood it šŸ‘€

So, at the end, Cheoyong kept trying to separate Bihyung and Geumbok. He even talked with Samshin, saying that them being together wasn’t good for either of them. He also released the ghost Bihyung caught but couldn’t kill (maybe because his power wasn’t complete yet? Idk). But when Bihyung was about to die, Cheoyong helped Samshin save him and the price was Geumbok’s memories.

But for some reason, Geumbok’s memories didn’t disappear 😭 So Cheoyong went to find them again and told them to capture ghosts instead, as a kind of deal. I’m not sure if Geumbok became some kind of spiritual being, but since he became the ā€œmaster of the goblin,ā€ I guess he’s special now?

Also, the red ghost didn’t show up after Bihyung became a complete goblin, so maybe that’s connected. Anyway, the ending totally hinted at another season 😭 The worldbuilding is huge, but the drama was way too short. I need Season 2 ASAP šŸ˜©šŸ”„

Real. It released the ā€œperfumeā€ in guembok
1. When the alarm rings, he wakes up from the dream.

2. Based on the conversation between Gildal and Geumbok that follows, it’s clear that nothing like that actually happened in reality.

3. When Samsin mentions that the scent started appearing after physical contact, Bihyung recalls the kissing scene.

Someone should lend them some lip balm. Their lips are dry and wrinkled AF!
One’s been starving for a thousand years, the other’s been living on the streets…
and their lips are still soft? That doesn't make sense 🤣
