Kyo Hwan has been playing main role since 2009 in movies.
This is his first cable TV drama, You probably think that way because he has few series compared to movies.

I also go on Reddit, especially after CTLBT, the same critics have been appreciating her acting, there’s been many commmets saying they changed their minds after watching her play dual character, but you decide to focus on the negatives.
GYJ was nominated for a Baeksang for her role in Moving and Hunt movie, makes her have 2 nominations at that award and still the doubters weren’t satisfied, even if she gets nominated for this and wins, they still would criticize her.
And the only thing that will hurt her career is if his forbid selects a few bad bad projects etc…

Valid, would you say the same for Kyo Kwan? Park Hae Young male leads have all also been nominated, would it hurt his career too if he isn’t nominated? or are women always meant to be placed in different standards than men????

Glad you gave it a shot, I remember the moment the drama dropped, within 5 hours there were some people who ran to the comments to discourage people from watching it even though they had claimed to finish a 12 episode drama in 6 hours and they rated this drama low at 7.7 for the first few hours, after 24 hours when more people watched it, the ratings kept on increasing, I’m glad I gave it a shot and didn’t listen to the nitpickers.

This was an absolute treat for me, and for me it was the right decision I made waiting for a while. this was something fresh compared to the many romcoms from last year, no cliches, rich production and great acting too.

Let me enlighten you quickly! the 95 liners you speak of in Gominsi and Kim Dami both debuted before GYJ, (Minsi 2016 & Da Min 2017) both have several movies, kim da mi currently has starred in 4 main movie roles, same with Go Min Si. Minsi has 3 years more experience than GYJ and Da Min 2 years

Go Youn Jung on the other hand has only appeared in ONE movie in Hunt of which she played a supporting character that got her Baeksang, Blue Dragon film, Grand Bell, Buil film award nominations.

And GYJ is a 96 liner not 95, if we go by age, her peers are Moon ga young, Kim sae Jung, Hye Yoon, and all of her 96 liners all have over a DECADE experience on her.
At least do some research before you conclude.

Her performance in CTLBT is all I need to see to know that she’s now way more seasoned than Lawschool.
I also do believe that her performance in CTLBT will be recognized for one of these big awards.

But This new upcoming drama will be IT like you said.

Oh! I wholeheartedly think that her performance in this drama will be miles ahead of her acting from lawschool, she has come a long way. Also she did say the script is packed and that she’s in Awww of the writing of this drama everyday on set… I think this is the first time I have heard her speak about a project in a very exciting way.

Oh yes! Did you check out her recent interviews? she said she wants to do more action and she also said if given the opportunity she would love to be in Guillermo Del Toro movie, she loved Frankestien.

Romcom is definitely not something GYJ loves to do, she said she doesn’t like doing romcoms so I’m not even holding my breath, I know we won’t see her do another romcom for atleast another 3-4 years.

Yes, because the Hong sisters had worked with her for AoS before they said in their recent interview that they believed she could do it because of her portrayal of Naksu and Buyeon and that’s why they chose her.

As for WeAreAllTryingHere, Park Hae Young loves to select her own muse as she goes for actresses whom she feels can make her script come to life, she said she loves to write the characters when she knows what actor or actress will play them.

Incase you’re not aware, Park Hae Young writer selected GYJ alongside the PD for this drama.
Same as Hong sisters we’re impressed by her acting in alchemy of souls and recasted herfor CTLBT.
The fact that the creators themselves believe in her and chose her for their dramas is all that matters, not the opinions of a troll on the internet who has never acted a day in their life.

You dislike the actress, I was in her profile not too long ago and I saw your comments always hating on her, I have also seen your comments all over alchemy of souls trashing her, only to look at your watchlist and you rate her dramas 1.0, your comments are out of hatred and not true opinions.

Go Youn Jung sweetie… I enjoyed your new romcom and I am even more excited for your upcoming drama. keep selecting all the best scripts, your acting range so vast.

apparently she loves to do complex roles, she has sad in interviews that she doesn’t like doing romcoms.
This drama should be slice of life filled with so many life lesson based on this writers history.

Especially the OST promise from woonstein and Wendy too. I am currently on my 2nd watch
