probably one of my favorite and comfort cdramas of all time!!i really love their dynamics so much. i love how xingzhou can be a cutie patootie when he is around his furen. i also love how miantang reciprocates her fujun's affection. they are soft for each other.
i hope they at least show clips/montage of what happened during the 3 months timeskip, cause how did ziyu became an emperor all of a sudden? i also think that they should have shortened their divorced/courting stage because it took what?? almost 10 episodes for them to reconcile!! (but the reconciliation stage was worth it tho) instead of prolonging cxz's agony, they should've given us more of their strategizing and fighting scenes together, their silly little acting skills to deceive enemies, and their married life. the last episode gave us one of the most iconic fight scenes in cdrama and, honestly, i want more of it!! like i would pay for the leads to work again on another drama and they stay as the scheming married couple just like in this drama. and i also want to see more from the emperor and empress!!
i feel like this is going to be the first historical cdrama that i will be rewatching. 5 stars kayo saken furen at fujun <3333
