This story is one of the hardest dramas to rate . It feels as if the writer poured all her best into the supporting characters first, intending to write the leads & villains afterward,only to oversleep before the deadline and hastily produce the main characters in a safety net.While supporting characters like Nam Mo, Miho, and Taepoong’s mother are wonderfully written, the leads, Taepoong and Miseon, are painfully bland. Kang Taepoong starts off as a promising gritty upright hero character but from episodes 1 to 12, he shows almost no meaningful development. He simply went from misunderstood son to penniless CEO. Miseon isn’t any better. She’s introduced as a brilliant accountant meant to help Taepoong build the Typhoon Family' company, but even the company remains stuck in the same penniless state. The only thing these two manage to develop is a young romance, one that Miseon repeatedly rejects because of their unstable situation.
The villains don’t help either. They’re equally unremarkable, lacking charisma and recycling the same tired schemes over and over.
When Kang Taepoong's dad talked about people, I would never guess it would take so long to collect a group of employees.

If this writer ever attempts to write another drama, I will watch from tail to head. I have trust issues with her. I think every business they are trying to do before the final episode are going to fail anyway. I want to pull my hair out.

Their thailand arc has nothing exciting on the business front. They should have excluded Go Majin bumblings . This part doesn't do any favor to male lead, Go majin or female lead. Go Majin certainly has skills for business communication & management .They should have highlighted this for business trade in Thailand & made him repay for his past mistake. Rather than plain outright misogynism ,they should've let him compete with Oh Miseon for trader position & ends there. It is like the writer wants to do many things at the same time & forgets she needs to write an exciting business trade at the end.

A lot of LJH haters in KTL like him in typhoon family and a lot of LJH admirers from KTL don't tune in to this drama. It is quite amusing in some way.

1) First of all, Ma Jin does not respect Kang Tae Poong or Mi Seon because they are younger people. Tae Poong reminded him that MS was a senior staff ,but GMJ didn't pay attention.
2) TP company isn't an established company which gave GMJ regular salary. It is a struggling company where two young people ,TP & MS need guide from a senior which is well connected.
3) Whenever TP took MS 's side. Ma Jin insulted MS more 'She was like this because CEO took her side'.
4) In front of her room ,Mi Seon herself told him not to give her special treatment.
5) TP is an inexperienced CEO, so he didn't how to manage the conflict of senior employee and his staff.
6) What will be the consequences of TP playing the knight ?
? GMJ resigned?
? He will stop his sexism.
The consequence is GMJ is going to hate MS more because of CEO special treatment towards her. In Typhoon Family story ,story is written as everyone will have the growing up phase. Thailand arc is for MS & GMJ.
7) Everyone is entitled to to express their opinions,defend their opinions as long as it is polite.
Don't call 'Name' to everyone who has a different opinion from you. What's is the difference between you and GMJ?

Why all of you obsessed with Netflix Ranking? Mostly Romcoms or thrillers are popular globally on Netflix. It is not news. Most people around the world don't understand what IMF is. Viewers are not to drawn to struggling situation they don't understand . This gen doesn't like to be stressed out. But the drama is not heavily targeted towards global audience from the start. No global promotion, promotion videos with restricted region & without subtititles. They promoted it in South Korea. It is quite doing well in South Korea,isn't it ? What is the problem?

This drama has the most well written female characters ever in K drama history.
-Female Lead Oh Mi-Seon
-Her sister Oh Mi-Ho
-Pusan (Busan) business woman Jung Chu-Ran
-Male Lead mom Jeong Mi
-Nam Mo mom

All are well written and interesting in their own ways. Not just there to be a filler for the main couple.
👏Characters written & created by female writer & director duo indeed.

And male lead is so considerate and kind-hearted (a dreamy man type from female POV).

I think Pyo Hyeon Jun is looking HOT , but the way he behaves makes me want to slap him. Being handsome doesn't solve everything.

For Lee Junho, it may not be a smash hit like King The Land. But since it has favorable reviews, it maybe low key hit like The Red Sleeve if the story telling and his acting remains a quality throughout the drama run.
