A League of Its Own!
This is the first Thai BL series I've watched that every episode brings out something that makes you love it even more. They explained the curse well, gave us the steps they took to fight it, and brought us to a closure without leaving anything behind. In other words, the development is so very well thought out.
Casting is superb - the past and present characters look so much alike, and all of them delivered. As someone who has read the novel and kinda felt amused that Khem is a character that cries a lot, I must say that Namping did such a good job getting the balance between novel Khem and his Khem in the series. Paran's development from the cold shaman who didn't want to care to going all out to save the love of his life is endearing. It felt like he held back, but when he decided they must be together, he did everything he could.
Jet and Charn are fantastic as well, and I'm happy that despite being the second couple, the screentime gave them justice (don't come at me for this because I just came from a series where the second couple had minuscule screentime lol).
The other characters also leave a mark - Khemika, Da, Jin, Grandma Si, Uncle Chai, Khem's mom, Chayod, the twins, monk Kasem, Jane, Kachen, Ramphueng!
Truly, Khemjira The Series brought their world and shared it with us because we feel for them and with them.
All kinds of love are in the show, romantic, parental, platonic, communal.
Khem, Jett, and Charn are the friends we want to have and aim to be.
KhemPeem love is what we long for.
Congratulations to everyone who gave us this series. I am happy that it received and is still receiving A LOT of love. Cheers to the more shows that will follow Khemjira's footsteps and I am looking forward to what these actors - Keng, Namping, Tle, and FirstOne would give us in the future!
