My views exactly ....first off i statted this drama cuz of the first line of ur review ...i had delayed watching this because everyone said this to be a very tocic story ...but in fact i didnt find it to be that ...rather it was a very raw potrayal of how love doesnt always start with roses and magic and i think the story was as real as it cud get ...and i dont think joe was naive or stupid or anything ...i think he just acted on his feelings honestly ...i think his upbringing shaped him like that ....he only knew love from what he imagined it to be ...liking ming even thou knowing his faults ...and theres nothing wrong in trying and hoping to get the person u love to love u back even if you know they currently are on the same wavelength....but once joe knew he they werent what they thought to be ...i think he did everything he cud to stay away from those feelings
As for ming ...i accept that he did very wrong things ....and i m not protecting him or anything ....but he was acting upon what he believed love is supposed to be ....he is usually a protective person ...and i m not saying love can be a justification for doing bad things ...but he did realise it was wrong ...and payed for it ...and is going to repent it thruout his life . Thou i do think that hitting with baseball bat process cud have been written or scripted with something less violent ..like maybe with cloroform ...or just stealthy handcuffing him ...because u cant do that to someone u love knowing or unknowingly... I loved both the charaters ...and j dont think there was anything to hate abt those ...plus i think in joes second life ....it was pretty good ....no toxicity...in fact i didnt think the show was toxic at all
