overall I do enjoy this but is anyone moderately annoyed that the whole conflict is that Peem needing to forgive…
To those who are blaming Pheem and saying, “Why are you blaming Kie? You’re the one who dumped her,” let me explain, you might need to think a bit deeper about this.
Even though Pheem got engaged to that so called fiancé, it was only in name. She had no choice. She doesn’t love him at all, in fact, she can’t even stand seeing his face. She agreed to the engagement only because she wanted to stay in Thailand; it went completely against her will. Pheem can’t even last a single day without seeing Kie.
Now, you might ask why she didn’t just tell Kie the truth. Well, if she did, Kie would’ve told her to go to England, which for Pheem would feel like a kind of death. So Pheem decided to get engaged first and explain to Kie later that it was all because of family pressure. But then, Poon sent out the engagement card, and that ruined everything. Kie saw it, got angry, and that’s when all the misunderstandings began.
As for those saying it’s pheem’s fault, think again. Pheem thought Kie was in love with Sai, which broke her heart completely. She truly believed Kie and Sai were together. Kie, on the other hand, could have gone back to Pheem, but she didn’t want short term happiness. She knew that even if they got back together now, Pheem would still have to face the arranged marriage after graduation.
That’s why Kie came up with this plan. Why else would she go to Pheem’s father if she thought Pheem had really cheated on her? She knew deep down that Pheem only got engaged because of pressure.
So, to sum it up: Pheem’s anger comes from thinking Kie loves and is dating Sai. Kie’s love for Pheem, though, is something else entirely, deeper, selfless, and painful.
You can really get all of this from the words pock spoke to pheem . The words are Pheem, if your love means enduring the pain alone just to be with the one you love, then Kie’s love must be about letting the one she loves go free.
