A C-Drama that takes you on a complete journey
Even tho I'm super late with this drama, I don't regret waiting to watch it. Legend of Zang Hai was one of the C-dramas this year that captivated me the most, even making me fall into that great dilemma of drama fans: I'll just watch one more episode. Without a focus on romance, this drama develops the protagonist's journey of revenge very well and still delivers twists in the final stretch.
Positive Points:
- Great character development.
- A plot that keeps you engaged from start to finish, making you come up with theories and root for the protagonist and their allies.
- Very good visuals and impeccable settings.
- Beautiful characterizations.
- Very good OST! My favorite songs are It's Me by Sun Nan (wonderful opening), Hidden Star by Tia Ray (this diva's voice is too beautiful, another one who made an appearance in yet another drama this year), and Entangled in Romance by Curley Gao (Yes, another one by Curley Gao for the list of favorite OSTs of the year).
About the Ending: I thot Legend of Zang Hai had a very good ending that was cohesive with the plot. Did I cry in some parts? Yes, after all, I got too involved with the story and the characters to not suffer with certain events. I recommend getting a tissue ready. But, beside that, I think this was one of the endings I loved the most in a c-drama. It didn't end in a crazy and rushed way, it flowed with the narrative and beautifully closed this entire great arc, making Legend of Zang Hai a COMPLETE work!!!
