Most Developed Plot out of all the series I’ve watched

What drew me to this series is a clip of ReyPrint’s kiss scene in EP6. Everything about their first kiss is perfection for me. The dialogue before the kiss; the way they stare at each other; the camera angle; the lighting; the bgm; THE FREAKING GIGGLES at the end!!! 😘

I started watching EP1 immediately after that. I was hooked. 🤯 Because of the way Print was looking at Rey even though they were supposed to be enemies at the Workshop scene. Then the switch happened. ARHOUNG AS PRINT IS GOLD!!! 👑

I think the production did well with the casting. Arhoung as Rey really gives a serious experienced actress looks. Pam as print really looks like a fun influencer/idol. SWITCH IT UP: Arhoung’s comedic expressions/acting as Print really is MVP! Pam’s serious/dismissive/cool/high maintenance demeanor really embodies Rey’s character. It’s insane how they act each other’s character! Casting hit 💎!

Other than that, out of all the GL series I’ve watched this year, Queendom has the most DEVELOPED plot/storyline for me. Everything: the beginning (their rivalry), how they slowly doesn’t want to admit that their rival’s life is not that easy as they seem to think, how they came to an understanding, became friends but STILL bicker (I love this part), how they fell in love, how they’re still in each other’s body, how they DON’T BREAK UP because of a homophobic family member (like any other series I’ve watched), how they switch back but still have problems to deal with, how they deal with those problems, and FINALLY the last EP doesn’t disappoint. No sudden characters were redeemed at the eleventh hour. EP1-EP12 everything was well thought out. The story progression felt organic. KUDOS TO THE WRITERS. 👏🏼

Of course it’s a Romantic Comedy series with a spice of Fantasy. The director, the editing team, the sound editor: everyone did their job really really well! The wardrobe department is also deserving of praise! Damn those fits! Every character looks good! 😍 The make-up too! I love that whenever they’re at their house, their make is toned down, and gives them natural look. The hair also isn’t unrealistically perfect every scene. When they just woke up, or Rey was pushing Print by the forehead, it is not immaculate and fixed. Adds realism to the scene!

I didn’t know what I was getting myself into watching Queendom. I was not prepared to become so obsessed with it! Honestly the marketing is a bit lacking because I didn’t find out about this show until the middle EPs were already airing. That’s why I think it’s so underrated. But I honestly think Queendom deserves to be popular and may they achieve many awards.

Also found out that the main couple (Arhoung & Pam) is not from the same company, so they’re not a fixed ship. 😭 WHY??!! Eye contact! Smiles! Hugs! Hand-holding! Kisses! CHEMISTRY is INSANE! Watch their chemistry audition! You’ll see! 🙏🏼 If there’s even a little chance for Arhoung and Pam to have another series together as the main CP again, whoever has the power please I’m begging you. 🧎🏻‍♀️

Queendom shot straight to the top for me. I don’t think I was disappointed at any part of this series. And I’m a multi-stan. But I’ve been disappointed by the writing/editing/directing of my fave ships/actresses before. Not this series though. This is a feel good series! That I keep rewatching and rewatching because I can’t find anything that satisfies me like it does.

Queendom’s plot about living the life of your most hated person in the world. Understanding their struggles in life, realizing you’re one of their struggles but you don’t have to be. Completely seeing the whole picture and inevitably falling in love with them. At the same time realizing that your own life is not the one you wanted to live anymore. Or the one you want to get back to. But your rival (the one who supposedly hates you more than anything) is actually the one that tells you there is a lot to your life to celebrate and love too. And helps you achieve the life you want to live.

To me Queendom is not just about learning to love your enemy. Most importantly it is about learning how to love yourself too. Try to look at it from the eyes of the one who hates & loves you the most. This is why Queendom is top for me.
