omg all the comments below me are roasting this drama… this is my 3rd watch already. Its my top 5 comfort drama
I made the same mistake watching first time. I watched the story from the ML perspective and you would find many flaws in story which people are pointing out subdued ML better SFL annoying FL selfish and all ( which people are commenting) but from my 2nd and 3rd watch I started watching from FL perspective and you start feeling her pain and her feelings and that overshadows all the flaws and made it a complete drama. ofcourse osts cinematography and other aspects will always pull me to watch again

Title Our Beloved Summer Spoiler
the FL is totally an insufferable...self centered.. selfish person
Ahhhh the hate is too much.I have watched it for more than 5 times. The first time I got the same feeling as you got FL Gaslighted ML and then ML accepted the role of doormat kind of thing Still was my favourite since the music and cinematography is still unmatched to any other is what I feel. But as I saw repeatedly I got to say that there is no better FL than her. Yes she had her insecurities but you got to understand that she was the only one mature enough and ML is behaving childishly even 5 years later. The dynamic is totally different when you understand that ML tells her he loves her first time at the end of last episode while FL tells so in past itself. The SML was never an option for her and her feelings never changed just her circumstances made her to mov out of it. When you see the series from perspective that she was more in love with him than he was you will understand and enjoy the series much more and SML will not annoy instead sadden you that he never had a chance.

I had such high expectations because the trailer looked so good 😭 but sadly the trailer ended up being the…
As I mentioned in other thread as well The golden days of romcom was accompanied with golden episode number of 16. These 10-12 episode are unable to bring out the excitement of unpredictable things

Just to add on no tail to tell, the leads don't really have a chemistry imo. For me, they give off more siblings…
or maybe there was no time in story where this chemistry could be developed organically? I feel that kdramas with multiple genres mixed with romcom such as fantasy crime thriller are feeling less enjoyable in 12 ep frame. The airing In your radiant season feels much better because maximum screentime is with main leads and there development and doesn't involve much of other themes.

The drama keeps on becoming funnier. Don't want to repeat what the whole comment section is screaming, so let's take a different perspective.
What if just a small change in drama was made, and ML didn't confess as early as ep 6 and hadn't confessed yet? We know he is in love, but didn't confess. Well, just this small change might take out all the romance aspect from drama and we would feel that ML and FML both are focusing more on woo joo than romance, albeit FML is enjoying dates, but we can't blame her anymore, can we, or maybe we can something to ponder about.
Secondly, in general, I am finding myself moving more to cdrama from kdrama (in romcom) because of the length. The 16-episode format allows the writer and producer to bring calmness and some freshness from all million dramas already made. The 12 episodes feel all too rushed, and there is no surprise factor anymore. You enjoy the setting and everything in the first 4 ep but then you know how things should move to give a correct ending by ep 12, which takes the soul out of drama( well, this drama is surprisingly in a bad way). Cdramas are longer and give you that calmness, and hence people find themselves moving to it, although I find story depths more in kdramas, being the pioneer

e.g., take no tail to tell. In general, gumiho fantasy romcoms are never a miss. But watching it felt like something was missing. It had everything that these have, but still, that connection felt missing and hence too rushed. In mordern you take on undercover Miss Bong or go back to when life gives you tangerines, which makes you feel connected to the character, and the side stories are explored longer. This drama as well with 16 ep could have been something we could enjoy with more development with child.

‎I think am one of the few here who Calle crazy but I honestly don't think the FL is behaving irrational but…
How she feels about ML or SML or may have feelings for both is not questionable. But the fact is she doesn't have priorities straight between love life/work/child raising. When the counterpart has confessed their feelings she should either reject or accept or tell she needs space to think and answer. But she is ignoring as if she didn't listen at all which in turn is humiliating other person feelings. You can't just judge one' s feelings but whether their actions are hurting others feelings which is in this case does

ATP, I am enjoying this drama so much. I am looking forward to how much worse it can get. Initially, the FL was frustrating as hell, and the past trauma and pain of ML were overwhelming the mind. Well, with each episode, FL is becoming more confused, and the writer is piling up more pain on ML instead of healing it. While other shitty love triangles show the SFL as well (barely for one episode) where we at least see where FL is going. This isn't a shitty love triangle its just two confused people inflicting more pain on one person. You wish ML leaves FL side, but you can't ask for that, as it would mean leaving Woo Joo as well, which will just put ML in depression, I suppose (looks so in ep 9 preview). ATP ML can't leave FL pour all his love and sacrifice everything for her while she goes on dates and is confused as hell. So let's enjoy the ride to the downhill the writer is taking us.
