Already on my 6th time watch, and it's been 3years ever since(plot pun was unintentional)
I'm surprised by the bad reviews in here, can we check theirs dates? I feel like it's just coming from haters. For me personally I liked Season 2 better than Season 1. Unpopular opinion I know, now don't get me wrong, Season 1 had a a great story but it felt a tad bit too draggy to me, and if we're talking about chemistry between ML and FL, Season 1 comes no where close to season 2. In season 1 it felt mostly like teacher x pupil chemistry as intended in the beginning that evolved to be half romance, the FL lead literally had better chemistry with all other MLs other than the first ML, I understand FL might've been cold towards our ML, but still somewhere the passion was missing which was fulfilling in season 2, despite the ML being distant initially. Yeah Naksu is not the same badass anymore, but she's powerful in her own ways. People complain about her change in personality but they seem to forget, This is how she'd have grown up to be if she didn't have had such a traumatic childhood manipulated by all the wrong kind of people. Seasons 2 made me feel emotions I thought I didn't have in me. I did rewatch season 1 too, for plot's sake but couldn't continue after the second time, like Season 1 just existed as a foundation for this season to happen. For me Season 1's like I already know the plot, it's tragic and I don't wanna see it all over again, however for season 2 I kept going back to feel the same giddyness, I felt the first time watching it. If you're looking for a good closure with reunion, giddy feelings and kicking feets, don't mind the bad reviews and go for it if you're still sleeping on it, you're totally missing out if otherwise. For the bad reviewers, idk what's up with them, either they're mad about casting change or romantacize FL's traumatic childhood, that made her so cold, Idk what else to say....
In other words it's lowkey a feel good reboot that carries on the story very well with reasonable focus on the past season. One last thing I'll add on is that even though the FL casting changed in this season and both of'em had a different personalities, they still somehow managed to make the audience feel like they're same person, GYJ really carried the torch smoothly after JSM passed it to her. Haters are just sleeping on her acting skills. The ending was very good for a closure, indeed, but could've been even better. I hope they give out spinoff too, since the series is perfectly concluded in this season .
