On The Woman Who Swallowed the Sun Dec 12, 2025
It's not the best ending in the world, which seems to have been rushed, but it was okay.

All the bad guys have been punished, everything is more or less back to normal despite a few little dramas here and there.

Honestly, I didn't understand Ji Seop's tantrum against Seri in episode 125 but it was probably to give one last drama to the plot. I note that Seri calls her mother Lucia for help (and not KC). Lucia rushes to the MINs but during the entire scene Lucia did not move a hair to physically protect Seri. WTF. She just slaps Ji Seop back but why doesn't she intervene to protect Seri from Ji Seop's violence? That's absolutely not credible. If your child is hit in front of you, you cannot stand by and do nothing. Impossible.
But I imagine the writers wanted to show us a scene where KC (and not Lucia) protects Seri to the point of being seriously injured. Like a real mother who would give her life for her real daughter. KC had not protected Seri from the flames (Seri had also blamed her for it), so she finally had this protective gesture for Seri that she never had for Mi So. After all, blood ties aren't really important here, what's important is a mother's unconditional love for her child.

The most important thing for me (given that this drama was a tribute, very clumsy at times, to motherhood) is that the two mothers are alive and will therefore both be present for Seri. Okay, I'm a little too sentimental, so I admit that the ending got me.
love is stronger than anything ; Love always triumphs in the end. That's ultimately the positive message that comes out of this whole drama, at least for me.

All the actors were exceptional butYoon Ah Jung (KC)'s acting was breathtaking from start to finish. Special mention to the young Park Seo Yeon (Seri) who did a remarkable job on this drama. As far as I'm concerned, Seri is the character who evolved the most throughout the drama. She's also the one that moved me the most because my opinion of her changed radically over time. At first I hated her so much and in the end Seri was the character I liked the most. It's pretty rare that I change my mind so radically about a character. So yes I will miss Seri very much.

See you soon for new dramas ! Take care of yourself guys !

I like very much how you describe Lucia... really
In the end she is a bruised woman, a grieving mother who just wishes apologies from the people who hurt her daughter so badly and killed her
She doesn't have a vengeful soul, her soul is too pure... That's precisely what might kill her

I agree, its such a shame to have made this character so brainless. She had everything it took to be a very "strong woman"... I mean those strong heroines who steal the drama (I don't know if it's the right expression)

Thanks for the résumé TE !
This drama shows sometimes totally absurd scenes (just my opinion of course) : why two enemies meet at a place like this ? WTF ?
Lucia still hasn't understood that KC is dangerous and that she shouldn't be left alone with her without anyone around ?
The writers seem to have made this character brainless for a reason beyond comprehension

There’s no way Lucia will die here. This isn’t that kind of drama. I agree it’s lost its focus though. Lucia’s…
I hope you are right but I just saw the last clip of today's episode and I am not very confident about Lucia's survival.
Apparently the writers might have decided to get rid of this central character ?
I know there are just 4 episodes left but I will be done with the drama if she dies. Like I said earlier, it would be too unfair regarding Seri
On The Woman Who Swallowed the Sun Dec 9, 2025
I don't know why in most dramas people stare at cars that about to collide with them without moving. It makes absolutly no sense. What about the survival instinct then ?
Would korean fictionnal characters have less of a survival reflex than us all ?
Personnally, I will be very disappointed if Lucia dies in the collision.

I must admit that I am not particulary a fan of this drama just because I find it longish and more important the plot has changed several times. In other words, the writers lost me several times during the past 60 episodes. But I find it addictive in some ways so I'm still there despite all its flaws.
Naively, I thought it was a drama about a mother who takes revenge on the powerful family that killed her only daughter. There are 5 episodes left and everything seems to be falling apart and no more revenge in sight.

As far as I'm concerned, this whole baby switch story is not a bad idea but only if it ends on a positive note for Seri. Of the two babies, she is the only one who is still alive and she must make amends for all her wrongdoing. But if her bio mom dies, she may lose control again. To me, Lucia has provided Seri with mental stability that allowed her to mature, she is her santuary, her balance and if she dies, Seri could turn to the dark side again... and this drama will make no sense to me at all. I would be like " all this for that ? Really ?"

So yeah, I confess that if Lucia dies, I will not watch this drama until its end.

Absolutely — denial is the engine driving this entire episode. Kyung Chae isn’t just spiralling, she’s crossed…
So true ! Manager Gong is a key character. She always treated KC as if she were her daughter and she is the one who started this whole mess without consideration.
However, when you think about it, without her, Mi So would probably be stillborn in that room. Instead, without realizing it, she saved her life by switching her with Seri.

Ironically, it was Seri who was supposed to die, poisoned by her father in her mother's womb. She shouldn't have survived. In the end, it was probably Mi So who returned Seri to her mother through her sacrifice. Seri truly owes Mi So more than just an apology but the first day of the rest of her life.

Thanks TE ! So, Lucia is in danger ? Do you think she is going to be okay ?I hope the writers didn't plan to kill…
Very true. FLs are often mistreated, even killed in Makjangs and this drama shares some similarities with Makjangs. But, this is not a Makjang, right ? (me trying to convince myself that this drama will have a happy ending)

One thing is certain, if Lucia is seriously injured, or worse, killed, KC will lose Seri forever. She will never forgive her for killing her bio mom, the one she has longed for all her life.
And I'm pretty sure that if Lucia is unable to reveal the truth, Seri will probably learn it from Stella or Tae Gyeong.

Unless the writers decide to keep this bio connection a secret, Seri will probably learn the truth and It would be best for her to learn it from a very much alive Lucia.

A little personal reflection about Seri, whom I hated at the very beginning of this daily : I gradually changed my mind. I was able to see Seri evolve, change, improve, and become better. Seri is changed so much, and in a positive way, I'd say. I think she's ready to apologize to Miso and Baek Seol Hui. Seri just needs a chance to make amends It is time for her to obtain the redemption that I believe she deserves.

While reading your post (great written by the way, I can't describe as well what I think about this whole story because english is not my native language) I realize how miserable and pathetic KC is now.

She became incontrolable and it's so sad to think that in the end, there will be nothing left for her anymore not even her sanity nor her dignity
She will end up in an asylum eventually, alone, abandonned by her bio family
Seri will probably be the only one who will come to visit her and support her... unless she ends up like Mi So

Rather than SeonJae, my guess would be on the ghost/image of MiSo popping up to save Lucia and KyungChae totally…
It makes sens given that KC has been tormented by visions of her daughters for a few episodes
And yeah the horror theme vibe is appropriate. It gives depth to the plot and even a more visceral side to the guilt that KC is starting to feel even if she is not really aware of it yet
I like your thoughts @Imangla and @TooEmotional 🤩

Well, KC has officially lost her mind.
Yoon Ah-Jung was breathtaking in all the clips I have seen on YT.
Her acting is truly fabulous

Yes you are so right.
Regarding the poisoning, I also don't think that Seri will be aware and it's better this way. It would be too awful for Seri...
It's just that we, the audience, all know very well that Seon Jae wanted to kill Seri before her birth so it's seems appropriate to me that he pays the price in the most beautiful way : sacrifice his own life to save the one he once loved

I hope to see the moment when Lucia can finally tell Seri that she is her bio mom. Just like Seri I've been waiting for this moment since... forever 😅

Denial is definitely the theme of this episode. Kyung Chae is in extreme denial, bordering on delirium and insanity.…
Thanks TE !
So, Lucia is in danger ? Do you think she is going to be okay ?
I hope the writers didn't plan to kill her ; it would be horrible for Seri, she longed to know who her bio mother is all her life...
The idea that it's Seon Jae who saves her is excellent and makes sense. It would give him a way to redeem himself plus I can see Seri visiting her father to thank him for saving her mother. Maybe she will forgiving him for wanting to kill her when she was in her mother's womb.

OMG, on the bright side plenty time to kidnap the Chairman, again.
Involving even more toothbrushes lost during these battles... poor Se Ri... At the end, I think she'll prefer to cut ties with everyone.
She would rather marry a dentist than have two mothers and three fathers... and headaches for the rest of her live 😅😂🤣

" "The Woman Who Swallowed the Sun" broke its own record for highest viewership ratings, garnering explosive responses with the shocking twist that Jang Shin-young and Yoon Ah-jung's daughters were switched. Following this upward trend, the drama was extended by five episodes, bringing its total to 125"
