WWY’s mission was only to capture Hanba. Even though that mission was influenced and manipulated by Jiu Ying, a genuine bond eventually formed between Sujian and WWY. But making Hanba speak wasn’t actually part of her original mission...the drought happened as a consequence of everything that was set in motion, and that’s what Luwuyi is trying to undo.
Who caused the drought disaster? Who made the drought demon Hanba speak? Who asked him to speak because her sister was ill? Because of all of this, Jiling and Luwuyi keep resetting time again and again in an attempt to save the world from drought.
Episode 9 is actually my favorite ep so far, the early episodes felt kinda bland when it comes to JJY. Her character didn’t have much depth or strong presence yet, and it almost felt like she was just there without really driving anything, her personality came off a bit flat and there wasn’t enough intensity or emotional pull to make you fully invested in her. But in episodes 9 everything is a bang for her.
