Great Series
First, I'd like to emphasize: the praise I give to the series is a result of its alignment with my personal taste and, therefore, like other dramas on this extensive site, it may not appeal to you or be comfortable for you... so check the tags and genre. What's great for someone else isn't necessarily great for you. It's also been a while since I watched the series, so I won't be able to accurately describe what I thought after watching it.To begin: we need more protagonists who assume positions judged by society: villains - especially murderers. Particularly series where the protagonist has a dubious morality that contrasts with some figure of ideal or rigid morality - such as a police officer - which creates very interesting tension and dynamics.
This is the case with Killer Paradox. A normal boy, struggling with the difficulties of adult life after returning from military service, receives a supernatural power that defies the law and his coexistence in society. The irresistible urge to kill criminals.
The story highlights the protagonist's internal battle to come to terms with what he is dealing with and the external view of certain characters regarding his actions: a divine power or a punishment, a hero or a villain.
The series could have brought an interesting social discussion about the limits of justice and the need for radicalism in punitive actions. We live with this a lot, the constant doubt about how criminals should be punished.
But I think it failed in that. The failure to develop a good social critique is probably due to the fact that the series narrows too much to the protagonist's perspective instead of expanding to people in general, or showing people who actively support him instead of wanting him in jail.
Normally we follow the journey of heroes or victims with suffering after suffering. Seeing the protagonist take on the role of "antagonist" and incorporate negative and realistic aspects (not so much in this case, hahaha) is incredible and intriguing. Especially in the eyes of the audience.
The part I love in these series is seeing the protagonist progressively become a figure that frightens people. Not being frightened and getting beaten up by others... It's a progressive cycle of madness too.
Objectively: it's a good series, don't expect much in terms of mystery and puzzles involved in a series of crimes, after all, our protagonist is the killer, so there's not much to discover even from the detective's perspective – even due to aspects derived from MC's power. It's more, as I said, about seeing the dynamic between someone who follows the law and another who breaks it. Seeing it through the supernatural elements involved. The characters are also quite interesting, I really liked Robin...
Negative point: the ending. I don't know, I think they could have done something better with the series and led to a second season. I can't imagine if there will be a continuation or if there's general interest after the ending. If they knew how to work the first season in a way that would create a hook for a satisfying second season with a story worthy of the story.

Not bad
It's a good drama for its short length. It's also a low-budget drama, apparently, so don't expect Stranger Things in K-drama form. The point is: a simple and concise story. The story's fast pace and conciseness suggest it unfolds conveniently, minimizing negative effects on the characters and leading to a (SPOILER)-->happy ending... in the long run (not this case), this turns the plot into a veritable Swiss cheese (full of holes), or rather, a Jenga tower. It also gives the impression of a poorly constructed and simplified story, so more critical viewers will be driven crazy (pretty noticeable even in short stories). What counts as a positive point in my opinion (quick romance) may also not be a positive point for everyone.
Furthermore, I can't stop wondering the same thing as everyone else...
What happened to the quality of the kisses? I was expecting steamy scenes after the first kiss, but they changed the actor(?) Did he get tired after kissing so much during filming? Was it a stunt double?! (Jokes) I'm genuinely curious, I thought we were going to see the same quality in the main characters' kiss, but it didn't happen.

50/50 of you liking it
I just love this drama! But I must say that it was because I already knew what I was getting into. I knew the manhwa, which was adapted from the novel, so when I looked at the title and premise I thought "it can't be? it really is?" and it really was an adaptation! The only thing that made me hesitate was the inclusion of a romance, which wasn't in the original. But this wasn't a problem! I liked our fl.The conclusion is: this is a romantic comedy with fantasy! It's really a fever dream, so be prepared. If you like a funny protagonist, stories about the entertainment world, romance with comedy or fantasy, you might like it. I'm grateful for this adaptation, even if other people didn't understand the drama's premise, I recommend it to my partners with similar tastes and fellow readers of the manhwa.

Bad
My perception of the audience for this drama is this: you either hate it or you love it, there are no intermediate steps. And I belong to the group that hates this drama... you need to remove some gears from your brain to swallow this story. The drama is triggered by the protagonist's stupid actions; his personality doesn't match the type of work he does. He's an idiot and stupid. His profile doesn't fit with the work he does; he wouldn't be able to stay in a job like that with such stupidity, let's be realistic. Fl is annoying. I didn't get past the first few episodes, but I wanted to punch her in the face as much as I wanted to punch the protagonist's and I don't! have anger issues... No problems with the acting tho, the real problem is the story.
