I loved it. Seriously, I’m devastated.
I started like, “wow, this is amazing,” and then it slowly turned into “my God, what is happening?” and by the end I was emotionally deceased. I honestly have nothing to add—just that it’s absolutely worth watching.
And honestly… if you didn’t like it, I will judge you a little. And if you didn’t cry, we need to talk, because something’s going on—maybe you just need to not feel so alone.
And about loneliness… what was that, right?
But anyway, let’s focus on love. As for death, we’re just going to pretend it doesn’t exist, okay?
It took me forever to finish because I just couldn’t bring myself to get to the end. But now it’s over… and I’m completely in love with everything and everyone.
And that’s it. I’m no longer capable of forming coherent thoughts.

started off perfect, like REALLY good—mature characters, good communication, tough decisions… everything was working. Then towards the end it’s like they forgot all of that and just threw in random drama.
Her decision to break up to follow her dream was amazing, honestly. It felt really mature and made total sense. And the reunion years later had everything to be perfect too… but that’s when it all started going downhill.
Those poorly explained parts annoyed me so much. Like, he had a whole relationship we never even saw, so it had zero emotional weight. Meanwhile, they focus on this random stalker storyline that just feels forced, like it only exists to create conflict.
And that whole “I want to break up with you” thing when they weren’t even really together? It just doesn’t work. It feels like they were trying to force emotions that were never properly built.
And the ending… it feels like they tried to make it sad just to seem deep, but it was honestly just frustrating. I’m actually shook, because it had everything to be perfect 😭

I understood the whole concept, but I wanted to see a lot more of the main couple, there was so much scene with the secondary ones that they even seemed to be the main ones, this left me very disappointed.

Hong Ye, the Demon Lord of the recently aired C-drama The Unclouded Soul, is not an inherently unsatisfying character.…
Honestly, I really didn’t understand that sword guy (I didn’t even remember his name, to be fair). I didn’t like him from the start, yet he was given way too much screen time — time that could have been used to develop other parts of the story.

Overall, it felt like the show tried to explore too many things at once and ended up doing most of them poorly. What truly saved it were the friendships and the protagonists’ personalities — those parts work. But the narrative itself could have been much stronger.

I really enjoyed the beginning of the show, as it genuinely built my expectations. The male lead works well as a main character — he isn’t toxic and has an interesting journey. The female lead is also a strong point: she is strong, intelligent, and not portrayed as naive. The friendships are well written, and you can see the growth of some characters.
However, the show struggles by trying to develop too many storylines and side characters at once, some of whom are given more screen time than necessary. While some characters grow, others simply deteriorate, which makes the narrative feel unbalanced.
The ending, in particular, felt rushed. The explanations are delivered too directly, without enough buildup throughout the story. Overall, it’s a watchable show — not bad — but I have to admit I felt disappointed. I expected more, especially after such a strong start.
