Agreed, definitely very lazy writing. Also the fact that there was literally NOTHING to foreshadow, everything was so very predictable and the viewers knew everything all along, even the leads. Definitely one of most anticlimactic dramas I’ve ever watched

Literally!! Can we have a few smart villains for once?? The fact that they didn’t make XZ or FCY break a sweat even once is insane. The cinematography, chemistry and FCY (esp her characterization) and XZ are the only saving graces of the drama, defo not the plot. I really miss the first few eps their time in Lin’an felt more intriguing than the capital arc

yeah me too, he’s known as a cold and feared general so seeing his vulnerable moments break that front and show that’s he’s also human. I think it makes him a really good male lead
