Glad, you noticed too! Sometimes, all people really need is exposure, whether to queer culture, other genders, or other races. I fear that labels can unite, but they can also dehumanize. They trigger our personal out-group homogeneity bias, something only genuine human connection and understanding can dissolve. In the end, I believe we are simply meant to know one another. This world has so much potential to be prettier than it is… sigh. Sorry, I yap a lot. My bad lol
I like the character evolution of TimeThai, especially what he said toward the end about seeing people and not genders anymore. Most heteronormative people are not familiar with or genuinely accepting of queer settings and culture. You can clearly see this common ignorance expressed through awkwardness and the oversexualization of LGBTQ+ issues.
Secondly, I actually preferred that the sexual orientations were not revealed, because pan and biphobia are still very common within queer spaces. I think it showed that the focus was simply on people finding love.
The only thing I would say is that next time, the show could focus more intentionally on the queer love (and even gender) spectrum such as ace, pan, fluid, bi, gay, etc instead of including heterosexual casts. Heterosexual people already have plenty of dating shows. I am not opposed to hetero couples, but it would have made more sense if the 'hetero' connections were between queer people (e.g: Season 8 of Are You The One).
I also really appreciated the hosts. They honestly made the show ten times more entertaining!!!
