He overworked her, targeted her even when he could have substituted her with other colleagues simply because of the grudge he held on her. He took it out on her beyond a professional standpoint, he admitted it, she knows it, his and her friends knows it, so I don't know why there is a need to defend that. It's alright to own up when you did someone wrong. I think it's wrong to even rewrite this matter into him not being a dickhead now.
I agree that it was a formality. That's the entire reason why I made this post anyways, that I wanted it to be more of it being simply a formality. Alas. I know XG understands where he's coming from, I just wish script wise they would have touch more base on it for greater depth. Especially in the letter.

Well I did mention that he didn't treat her horribly, just a dickhead no matter how big or small. He overworked her despite her injuries, which is a no no even in a professional relation. I guess I could understand XG's perspective, especially knowing how massive one's heart has to be to look pass what "she has done" and still continue pursuing her. I just thought for how shameless the MLs are written out to be, he would be more forthright in being apologetic. He even admitted that there was not a single slight chance at allll that he thought that it couldn't have been her, which is a big blow imo. To me, there's no harm in writing him to be more apologetic, it doesn't make their rs any less than what it is.
Ehh I still think it's a miss on the pockets. We have the same culture and it's frowned upon to even have your hands in when speaking to elders, much less apologizing for such a huge hugee blunder. Agree to disagree then, I'll try to be delusional and say it's too cold
Two main things that I wasn't satisfied in today's eps
1) Personally there wasn't enough groveling from Yusen. Are the letter contents the same as in the drama? Even in the letter, he admitted and was self aware that he made XG to be the demon and the main fault for his plight, but that was about it and the letter felt abruptly ended with no proper apology. Under the blossoms, when the matter was addressed again, a lot of his commentary surrounded around how he suffered and barely nothing about how he treated her. And even when touched on, it came out sounding like "I was being a POS but you have to understand why I was being a POS", overall it came out more defensive imo. Came out like he was expecting XG to understand his perspective. Of course, it's not like YS treated her horribly, but being a dickhead is still a fact. And given that he's in love with her, I expected him to be more communicative on exactly how sorry he felt and simply state that there's zero excuse for what he's done especially when he could've cleared it up on day one. And then jumping straight to comparing when he met her to SML to prevent all this felt like excuses too. 2) Really didn't like how he was apologizing with his hands in his pockets. 🤣 Director why..

Right! I immediately thought right in that moment they didn't have to necessarily add that, but they simply did to allow for more depth even in minor characters. Makes me appreciate the work more
