A Test of Patience Redeemed Only by the ML

If there were ever a drama that required one to completely switch off one’s brain to survive the plot, this is certainly it. This short drama feels like a relic from the early days of vertical short dramas, clinging to outdated and frankly exasperating social tropes.
The story follows Lin Qing Qing, who suffers through an agonizing amount of public humiliation due to a gynecological misdiagnosis. The "slut-shaming" she endures from her colleagues and the relentless pressure from her traditional mother—who seems obsessed with nothing but marrying her off—is incredibly difficult to watch in this day and age. The mindset presented is frustratingly regressive.
The sole reason to stay for this series is the male lead, Zou Ke Jun. His screen presence and performance as the ex-boyfriend turned attending physician are the only saving graces. He manages to bring a sense of comfort and stability to an otherwise chaotic and logically-challenged narrative. If you can endure the "moral play" cliches of the past, watch it for him. Otherwise, keep your hand on the fast-forward button.
