Title First Man
Beak Ho irked me with that dismissal also. It was actually out of character for him and was too obvious of a plot…
the fact that he knows they look alike is the icing on the cake of why it annoyed me. jangmi left home implying that the person she was going to see "was a lot like her." since he's always doing his homework on Oh Jangmi, it's hard to believe he would ignore the fact that she was purposefully avoiding telling the truth. her behavior clearly indicated that whoever the friend was wanted to keep everything a secret. why? an ordinary person wouldn't make such a request.

seorin is hwayoung's daughter, so it doesn't seem so absurd that, on one of her visits to the hotel, jangmi met seorin by chance and they became friends. seorin's status could be used as the reason for keeping the friendship a secret; they're identical, no matter what the truth is, if the press found out, it would cause an uproar, therefore her request would be justified.

baekho dismissed the possibility that the friend jangmi hid from him was Director Ma too quickly... he has several clues and "coincidences" up his sleeve to follow, and i know he'll get there eventually, but it's annoying.

and jangmi... good heavens! girl, SCREW the evidence, find NEW evidence. you're literally INSIDE the house.

I hope San Wol can be strategic and use it to torment Hwa Yeong. So far she has been a fumbling bumbling foe.
oh, damn. you're right, if hwayoung notices that things are missing from seorin's room, she'll immediately think it was them and go after it. the evidence could easily fall into her hands before those two idiots even have a chance to use it. and there's also the fact that hwayoung already had a nagging feeling since she saw how seorin tidied up her room.

her character has been a disappointment so far, i think they'll try to redeem her with this.

even having seen her face intact in previous scenes, i was a little horrified when she appeared all bandaged up like that. like . damn. i think in a different show she'd definitely need a facial reconstruction 😭

OUCH! it's a good thing jangmi managed to "lessen" the impact compared to if the truck had hit seorin head-on, but even so, the crash was damn awful. shit!

the fact that jangmi recovered her memory so quickly gave me a little hope, as it increased seorin's chances of survival. i still don't consider seorin's stay guaranteed, but the atmosphere is clearly not one of mourning. seorin is living evidence, but in her current state, using her for anything sounds a bit off. i can only hope jangmi won't be so naive as to leave her in the hospital like a little lamb that could be devoured by the big bad wolf at any moment. underestimating hwayoung's speed of action was essentially what led to this outcome... γ…œγ…œ

if he wasn't even at the office when jangmi was safe and sound, imagine now with her in that situation. the only obstacle might end up being hongju, who just revealed herself to be baekho's "Director Ma" lol

i got this notif while watching the scene where he reminisces about their first meeting. although it's not jangmi there, the practical effect of talking to comatose patients is that it can positively affect their recovery, as they can listen and feel motivated.
poor seorin won't understand why some random guy is confessing his feelings for her day and night; it wouldn't be surprising if she developed some level of dependence on him, and it would be quite interesting to see how they'd play this off. 🀭

but we agree on everything! that's exactly what i wanted to say~ :p

i don't think she'll say she's jangmi, but rather that she'll use her trump card: pretending to be seorin. as you said before, she could put him in danger if she revealed the whole truth, but if she continues to impersonate seorin and makes him believe he needs to protect "jangmi" along with her, he's more likely to agree to help.

i think so too. i wouldn't be surprised if he contacted "seorin" first, but i think jangmi will have to do it before him. he'll probably be resentful if he sees "seorin" doing well while jangmi is in critical condition. if he finds out they were together on the day of the accident, he might even conclude that seorin is partly to blame. therefore, jangmi contacting him first seems like the right decision to avoid a misunderstanding.

"jangmi will certainly transform into a vicious woman." and that's exactly what i expect from her!

junho revealed a behavior that could transform his character into something completely different from what we've seen so far. unfortunately, being hwayoung's son naturally puts him in that position. they say the apple doesn't fall far from the tree, right?

and heh, no problem~ i watched the trailer when it came out because i was too hyped :p

This is a first for me - to watch a kdrama character recovers her memory within hours of the accident. πŸ₯΄πŸ˜΅β€πŸ’«πŸ˜΅This…
in my opinion, jangmi will have to use both brothers for their revenge. junho is a tool to keep hwayoung under surveillance/gain her favor, and baekho is a tool to help her gather evidence/protect seorin (if she makes it to the end) and her family. don't forget the scene in the trailer where she asks him to take revenge together. with "jangmi's" life in danger, of course he will have to be involved somehow.

who will take care of sukhee? just thinking about the work jangmi will have to do to get everything in order before she starts her revenge gives me a headache.

thinking "is this what family feels like?" minutes before the white truck of doom and absolute despair finds your way is madness.

may nambong go to hell, my god. what a despicable man. i hope hwayoung stabs him in the back, that's what he deserves. and it will be the only good thing she'll ever do.

jangmi could also grab seorin's arm and pull her close; if she tried to push her away, she would take the blow instead. and that doesn't guarantee that seorin wouldn't get hurt, because if she were pushed, she could fall and hit her head anyway.

but you're right, that's the omen: if it weren't for seorin, jangmi's path would always lead her to death.

Well, the strange vibe that came out when she said goodbye to Tae Pyeong sure makes it seem she is a goner.
i'm fascinated (in a negative way) by the concept of seorin being discarded before nambong, as if she weren't infinitely more important to the plot than cheatertron 7000, whose only function is to make me want to vomit every time he appears on my screen.

i can't wait to see how far jangmi will be willing to go for revenge. if i can see that same look of anger, resentment, and disgust she gave hwayoung in today's episode again (and often), i'll be happy. i have little hope for an aggressive personality change, but a girl can dream.

no matter what happens tomorrow, i'm glad seorin at least had the chance to feel what it's truly like to belong in someone's embrace. it's true what they say, nothing compares to a mother's warmth. "Mom? Mom. My mom." γ…œγ…œ i feel so bad... but i told her to look both ways before crossing the street!

hihi, baekho and seorin would really make a funny duo. i would pay to see her teasing him and leaving him all flustered 🀭 i think i much prefer this dynamic with the FL being more open minded and less passive.
