Yeah of course. I totally agree with your point about modern dramas, China just isn't very good at them. If you liked this one then a I would definitely recommend The Story of Minglan. It's a bit long but its a great drama. Some other ones I really liked are Eternal Love, Joy of Life, and Nirvana in Fire.

Thanks, also don't be worried about the last 6 episodes. I didn't say they were bad, they were just unnecessary in terms of the plot. They were actually not that bad.

I'm sorry but there's just no way this is real. Maybe you haven't watched that many C-dramas, but this drama is not top 100. You make some good points about second and third couple, but I'm reading the rest of the review I'm not sure we watched the same show. I understand opinions differ, but best ever just seems like such a stretch.
