From what I understood, JL’s mission is to wait for the 10th dragon (WSG) to kill Chi Wen because once Chi Wen is dead, JY dies with him.

So in the time loop arc, he killed WWY (but secretly brought her back to Formless Moon Sect to be resurrected) so that JY can take over WSG to kill Chi Wen. The catch here is that JY thought that killing Chi Wen will free him.

Just a guess on my part because, if stabbing Tian Di is not part of the original event, then why did he stab him? And why did the illusion skip?

The only answer I could think of is that both twins (YWH and LJ) are not part of the illusion 😜

From what I understood, based from LWY and LS's timeline, when something happens that is not part of the original happenings, the illusion will reset and leap to correct the events. So in episode 14 below are what caused all of them to skip to the day of the catastrophes

1000 years ago: DZ killed WZQ (which did not happen originally) so they skipped to the day of the wedding which is the day of the hurricane/storm (I think?)

150 years ago: YWH stabbed Tian Di (which is again not part of the original event), so they skipped to the day of the catastrophe (meteor shower,I guess?)

50 years ago: WWY stabbed the master (which was revealed to be the older version of Tian Di aka Star Stone) so that disrupted the illusion and they also skipped to the day of the catastrophe (the great freeze or something)

My theory based on other’s spoilers:

1000 years ago - either Jiu Ying or LWY is the master of the illusion (others say that LWY was created by Jiu Ying as a vessel)

150 years ago - I think master is YWH (the butterfly demon), the timeline leaped because he stabbed Tian Di so meaning he is not part of the illusion

50 years ago - it’s give. That WSG is the master

Regarding Li Jie and YWH’s story in the star stone illusion: I saw some reuter photos where Yanan and TJR are wearing the same outfits and have the same “tattoos” on their hands.
