a touching movie

Was just able to watch it on Catchplay+! It's a quietly moving Taiwanese film set in Shetou, Changhua, revealing love, contradictions, and subtle tensions in an ordinary family. Two moments hit hardest: the mother enduring her husband’s questions about having another child, and the final revelation about the father. Small details, from childhood drawings to cigarettes shared between old friends, bring warmth and magic to everyday life. Heartfelt, honest, and beautifully told.

so many emotions

This drama was horrifying, heartbreaking, haunting, gut-wrenching, yet beautiful, mesmerizing, moving, and unforgettable.

This was one of the best written dramas I have ever seen. The cinematography, the music, the pacing. Everything was impeccable. And don't get me started on the ACTING! Obviously the three main leads, Tseng Jing-hua (Li Jen Yao), Moon Lee (Chiang Hsiao Tung) and Alice Ko (Hsia Tien Ching) were absolutely outstanding, but also Lyan Cheng (Lai Yun Chen), Ann Lee (Yen Yao's mother), Chiang Chi (Chou Pun You) and also the main bad guys performances were absolutely incredible.

This drama will be with me for a long time, I have nothing but praise for this. May they find each other in their next life.

organic storytelling

I really enjoyed this drama! I preferred chapter 1 over 2 just a bit more, but I think they told a great story overall. I especially liked how organic everything felt and how, with each new case, they slowly uncovered more clues tied to the bigger mystery. It never felt forced and everything connected naturally, and by the end it was really satisfying to see how it all circled back to the shooting that influenced so many of the main characters. I would’ve liked to see what happened to the villains afterward for a bit more closure, but I think the ending was quite satisfying 😌
