MJTY is the kind of drama that makes you realize why the main characters are the main characters only after a rewatch . There’s so much depth to both leads that you don’t fully notice until you’re deeply invested in the plot. What a masterpiece piece . But who would watch the drama that they don’t understand on the first watch again ? unless, they are drama addicted like me . Esther yu and zhanglinghe played emotional complex characters so well . I know them as xiaolanhua and lord changheng in love between the fairy and the devil and discover their acting range here . amazing job !
I don’t like how iqiyi promote this drama into romance drama which is totally different from the plot however it’s 520 day so I hope next video will focus on the plot
I can’t quite find the right words for the love story of Yun Weishan and Gong Ziyu—no matter how I try, it always feels like something bigger than language.
He is someone who gives love instinctively, quietly, completely. She is someone who never learned how to recognize it, let alone receive it. And yet, in his presence, love becomes something she slowly begins to understand—not as a weakness, not as a distraction, but as a kind of freedom she had never known existed.
For her, freedom was once only survival, only escape, only mission. But he reshapes it without forcing her to change. He simply stays, and in that staying, love starts to redefine what freedom means
Because in the end, freedom is not just the absence of chains—it is having a choice. And for the first time, she chooses him but fate won’t allow her to have freedom in any form.
