2 Episodes in
Episode 1 left me feeling pretty cold which is disappointing because the production quality is high and the plot looks interesting.My main issue is the rushing. They glossed over the couple’s first time how they fell in love and the start of their relationship with just a quick montage. I wish they had taken 2 or 3 episodes to properly establish the relationship so we could actually connect with them. The big daughter reveal in EP1 also fell flat. There was no buildup no time to feel the heartbreak or betrayal. Dropping it so early just didn’t land.
The show feels very different from the first trailer almost like a completely different series. Normally that ending for EP 1 would have given me goosebumps and a pit in my stomach but I felt nothing because I couldn’t connect with the characters.
Still I’m curious to see more. I hope Episode 2 slows down and fixes the pacing. It’s not bad it’s high quality but the emotional connection is missing right now.
Also, Atom's Acting was better than even Faye's. Faye's performance wasn't the best.
EP 2 the pacing is even worse and faster. The episode was all over the place and no time to sink anything in.
The pacing is so bad I would drop the show it if it wasn't for Faye. Please slow the show down. I get there's only 8 Episodes but you have to balance it.
