At this point, I just wish it were all a dream. Whether it’s the same timeline, a loop, or a timeline in a different dimension… it’s all just heartbreaking. Imagine her suddenly gone, her body vanished, as if she never existed at all. So many questions left unanswered... it’s easier to believe it was just a dream.

The ending is so sad, and it leaves so many questions unanswered. So does that mean the present and past timelines are actually different and not a loop? So Cheng and the others don’t really exist in her original timeline, except for Xiliang? It's in another dimension? because I don’t think it was a dream either.

All her hard work and the life she built was gone just like that, and I can’t imagine how Cheng will explain her sudden disappearance to everyone in the past timeline.

I really wish they hadn’t gone this route. Honestly, I wish the drama wasn’t a transmigration story at all... I wish it had just been a straightforward rags-to-riches story set in the 80s and 90s, with a genius and hardworking female lead. The story was so good and inspiring, which made the ending feel even sadder and in a way very cliche. I just feel like there could have been other better options for the ending.

Indeed, I really hate the censorships hence we always get this cliche ending. I can't imagine that the past life/timeline was just a dream or if it's another dimension that's not existing in her original world... it's just so heartbreaking that she have to leave everyone there.
