Calling it an ‘honest review’ while skipping the main character is wild. That’s not a review, that’s a highlight reel you created for yourself.
If you’re skipping JJ’s scenes, you’re literally removing the core of the story and then judging what’s left. Of course it’s going to feel empty or boring, you’re watching it in fragments, not as a whole. And about acting, gestures, emotions, and delivery all depend on character writing and where the story is at. Not every role is meant to be loud or instantly intense. Some are slow-burn, and if you skip, you miss that build completely.
At that point, it’s not the actor lacking…it’s the viewing approach.
If it’s not your taste, that’s totally fine. But at least watch it properly before deciding what’s ‘lacking.’ Otherwise, it just comes off as unnecessary negativity.
I get what you mean about missing that feeling, but honestly… try not to compare NetJJ with NetJames too much.Bed…
Woo I didn’t realize you’re Sri Lankan too......nice! 🇱🇰
I totally get where those feelings are coming from, especially if you really loved that previous vibe. But try not to compare… our bunny JJ doesn’t deserve that 😭 Think of it like this, you shouldn’t think about your ex while dating someone new, right? The new person deserves a fair chance without being compared all the time. Same here.
This is a different story, different journey, so it’s better to let it grow on its own. Who knows, you might end up loving this version in a completely different way 😉And don’t forget to give it time until they reach that emotional and intimacy level too............
How is NetJJ, guys? Are they good as NetJames? Net's expression on previous dramas were insane and I donot want…

Bed Friend and Love Upon a Time are completely different genres, so the vibe, acting style, and even emotional delivery are naturally going to feel different. One is more intense and emotional, while the other is a lighter, period rom-com. If you go into it expecting the same expressions and energy from Bed Friend, you’ll probably feel disappointed no matter what.
It’s kind of like watching Leonardo DiCaprio in Titanic vs The Wolf of Wall Street, same actor, but totally different performances because the genres and characters demand it. Or Shah Rukh Khan in My Name Is Khan vs Chennai Express you wouldn’t expect the same emotional tone, right?
Net is still the same actor, but the character and story he’s in now require a different kind of expression. So it’s better to watch NetJJ with a fresh perspective and judge it for what it is, not what it used to be.
Give it a few more episodes with an open mind......you might end up liking this version in a completely different way 😉
Just a matter of preference, I guess, because I also hadn't watched khemjira at first, back then, as I didn't…
I’m not responsible for how others are coming at you.....I responded to what I saw. And it’s not really ‘one small comment’ when the same point keeps popping up across the comment section. That’s why it starts to feel repetitive.
If that wasn’t your intention, fine, but you can’t decide how it comes across to others either. Anyway, you’ve said your piece, I’ve said mine. No need to drag it further

Criticism is normal. Hiding rudeness behind ‘it’s just a small comment’ isn’t. If anyone’s blowing things out of proportion, it’s you trying to justify it.

Don’t worry, I can handle criticism. Seems like you can’t handle being questioned. Having an opinion is a basic right, but using it to hurt others isn’t being ‘opinionated’........it’s just ignorance. That’s where basic decency drops. What’s funny is when people are actually proud of that.

Having an opinion is totally fine, but repeating the same negative points over and over starts to feel less like a review and more like targeting. (i mean look at the comment section you are every where ) You don’t have to like their chemistry, but constantly bringing down the actors....especially JJ is unnecessary. Let people enjoy the show, and maybe just move on if it’s not for you.

It’s okay, not every drama is for everyone. If you’re not feeling it, that’s totally fine. But please don’t spread negativity, because a lot of people really enjoy their chemistry. Let’s respect each other and also the artists and their hard work. Comments like this can have an impact since word of mouth is strong. Hope you understand....fans of NetJJ can get hurt.
I mean, if you find the story or narration boring, that’s totally fine....it just means it’s not your cup…
Hey, not sure if you know this, but in the book the story is based on, JJ's charactor is actually described as fair-skinned. So this really has nothing to do with the bigger industry issues you’re bringing up yeah, those exist, but this isn’t about that.
Let’s not put this on JJ's skin tone or start saying he’s not good looking and all that. It just doesn’t make sense here.
