we have different views on this. My point is: Xiao Zhan is already a beloved actor in mainland china and even abroad. He has millions of Weibo followers and been so good looking ever since. Given all that, why not try to earn the real deal award in his field since he hasn't received one in major awards in China. It's a good thing he is working with top caliber directors in the industry that will help of course but isn't it a very fulfilling moment when your acting ability is recognized by such big name award giving bodies? Another thing, raking billions in box office isn't a joke. I really wished he'd do more blockbuster hits. I have seen his performance in his recent movie Gezhi Town..but admit it, the movie cannot be at par with Big World, Better Days, Battle at Lake Changjin ,Detective Chinatown..those movies I mentioned were raking billions of profits. I want Xiao Zhan to be on that level. I hope you get my point.This is just my wish for him. I know many like him and are content with whatever he has achieved. But I am not yet, I still have that hope for him. He can become like what I imagined.

I really like Xiao Zhan..what I really wish for him is to win BEST ACTOR at Golden Rooster Awards. He hasn't been at list nominated. When you win in that, it really means your acting is exceptional. In my favorite actors list, it's only Jackson Yee who have made it with multiple nods the previous years
