Yet, he chooses to be intimate with only his girlfriend and run away from everywhere!
If he chooses that, then he'll be the cowardly and foolish male protagonist in this TV series!
I feel the most disgusted, and I feel like throwing up, when I see the main male hero, whose life principle is, "Oh, I just want to live happily and freely travel wherever I want, just with my one and only beloved girlfriend."
Meanwhile, the world he finds himself in is in chaos, full of wars, both large and small, both civil and inter-state.
Furthermore, the royal system in his hometown is also in disarray, with criminals running rampant, and injustice rife everywhere.
However, the main man doesn't care and refuses to attain greater and supreme political and military power to save his own nation and people. He's willing to throw everything away just to wander with his girlfriend.
The main man also doesn't care that there are still many enemies everywhere, hunting him down, endangering and killing him and his girlfriend wherever they go.

Ironically, nothing in season 2 is realistic, as this isn't a spin-off of the TV series "Princess Agents - 2017," but rather a sequel to "Princess Agents - 2017!"
So, all elements from season 1 should have been carried over to season 2, including CQ's wuxia skills and intelligence, not reduced to something even more stupid like this!
This female lead is as stupid as the TV series "Fateful Love - 2024," whose FL was originally a fellow special forces officer, but ended up becoming an equally stupid FL, often easily trapped and/or captured by her enemies!
CQ is just as clueless in political and military tactics as HZQ from "Fateful Love - 2024!"
Fortunately, the intelligence levels of the two male leads are both far smarter and more intelligent than the female leads!

This second season of Princess Agents is incredibly disappointing!
The scriptwriters seem to have erased all the combat skills and killer instincts that Chu Qiao learned through blood and tears in the first season.
This "Caught-Reunion-Escape-Caught Again" logic completely ruins Chu Qiao's character for several reasons that make us want to slam the remote:
* Secret Agent Skill Nerfing: Remember how clever Chu Qiao was when she infiltrated the enemy base back then? In this season, she seems to have lost her sensory and tactical abilities. Falling into the same trap over and over again is not Chu Qiao's style; it's the style of the damsel in distress (weak girl who needs help) characters we hate so much. * Forced Drama (Plot Convenience): The writers deliberately had her captured just to have an emotional dialogue scene with Yan Xun. They sacrificed military logic for a "baper" moment that was already stale. We want to see a deadly confrontation, not a venting session in a prison or military tent. * *Character Inconsistency:* The real Chu Qiao had a will as strong as steel. After what happened at Ice Lake, there should have been no room for hesitation. Every time she missed an opportunity to finish off Yan Xun because of "past memories," it felt like an insult to the lives of Yuwen Yue and the thousands of Xiuli soldiers who were betrayed by Yan Xun.
It feels like the scriptwriter forgot that the title is Princess Agents, which should emphasize cunning and action, not "Princess Captive." If she were caught once by a particularly ingenious trap, we might have accepted it. But if it happened repeatedly, it was purely because the writer was too lazy to think of another way to bring them together.
After being caught so many times, it's hard to still see Chu Qiao as a strong heroine, isn't it? She seems like someone who doesn't learn from experience.
